Thanks for purchasing BOYA BY-BM2040! The BOYA BY-BM2040, a compact super- cardioid shotgun microphone, is able to provide high-quality audio for your video. Unique super-cardioid polar pattern and tight pickup area focus directly in front of the microphone and reduce other surround-ing sounds, ensuring that your subject is isolated from any background noise. Reinforced carbon fiber + ABS construction at only about 79g, the microphone always keeps your setup super lightweight, making it ideal for handheld shooting. Equipped with a professional shock mount can be adjusted back and forth and more stably improve the recording effect of the device. Setting up your microphone with camera

1. Fix the microphone to the shock mount and loosen the locking knob of its cold shoe mount, then slide the mount onto the camera.
2. Tighten the locking knob, to secure the microphone.
3. Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRS audio cable to connect the camera and microphone

Setting up your microphone with smartphone, tablets or laptop 1.Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS audio cable to connect the smartphones, tablets or laptop and microphone. 2.Turn on the audio-only or video recording app and start recording. Please noted to plug 90 degree 3.5mm TRS connector to the microphone and straight 3.5mm TRRS connector to the smart phone, tablets or laptop.
