INSTALLATION OF THE APPLIANCE

Installation

  • Make sure that all safety items have been removed from inside the stove.
  • WARNING : Inspect the stove for damage, for improperly installed or bent doors, for damaged door gaskets and other sealing surfaces, for loose or broken door hinges and door latches, and for dents inside the stove compartment and on the door. If any damage is found, do not operate the stove. It is necessary to call a qualified repairman.
  • Place the stove on a flat and stable surface that will not only support the weight of the unit itself, but also the weight of the heaviest foods you will be preparing in the stove.
  • Install the stove away from sources of heat and moisture. Avoid areas with high humidity. Do not place the stove near flammable materials.
  • The stove must be well ventilated for proper operation. Leave a clearance of 20 cm above the stove, 10 cm behind and 5 cm on both sides of the unit. Do not block or in any way obstruct the unit’s inlet or outlet openings. Do not remove the feet.
  • Do not use the stove if the glass turntable, turntable base and turntable shaft are not installed in the proper locations.
  • Make sure that the power cord is not damaged and is not placed under the stove or over hot surfaces or sharp edges.
  • The power outlet must be easily accessible so that the unit can be quickly disconnected from the power source in the event of an emergen-cy.
  • Do not use the stove outdoors.

Grounding

The appliance must be earthed. The stove is equipped with a power cord with a grounding wire and a plug with a grounding socket. The cable must be connected to a properly installed and grounded wall outlet. In the event of a short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by ensuring that current flows to the grounding conductor. It is recommended that the stove be connected to a separate power circuit to which no other appliance has been connected. Use of high voltage is dangerous and may cause a fire or otherwise damage the appliance.

WARNING: Improper use of the grounded plug may result in a risk of electric shock.
Notes: If you have any questions about grounding and wiring, consult a qualified electrician or repairman.
Neither the manufacturer nor the equipment supplier shall be liable in any way for damage to the equipment or personal injury resulting from failure to comply with the requirements for electrical connections.

The wires in the power cord are color-coded according to the following code:

  • Green or yellow = Grounding conductor
  • Blue = neutral conductor
  • Brown = Current Conductor

Radio interference

  • Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference to your radio, television or other such equipment.
  • If interference is observed, it can be reduced or completely eliminated by the following measures:
    • Cleaning the stove door and sealing surfaces.
    • Reorienting the receiving antenna of a radio or TV set.
    • Reorient the stove with respect to other receivers.
    • Move the stove away from the receiver.
    • Connecting the stove to a different power outlet so that the stove and the receiver are connected to different circuits.

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

Microwave cooking principles

  • Place food products carefully in the stove. Place the thickest parts of the food as close to the edge of the cooker as possible.
  • Adjust the cooking time carefully. Choose the shortest processing time indicated and extend it if necessary. Products cooked for too long may start to smoke or even catch fire.
  • Cover the food when cooking. The lid keeps food from splattering and helps to heat it evenly.
  • To speed up the processing of foods such as chicken or hamburgers, flip them while cooking. Large portions of food such as roasts need to be turned at least once.
  • Small foods like meatballs should be stirred or repositioned during cooking by moving foods from the top to the bottom and from the center to the edge of the container.

Containers

  • The ideal container for use in a microwave oven is one that allows microwave energy to pass into the interior allowing food to be heated.
  • Microwaves do not penetrate metal, so do not use metal containers or dishes, or those that are decorated or lined with metal, to heat food in the oven.
  • Do not use containers made from recycled paper for microwave cooking, as they may contain traces of metal that could cause a spark and/or fire.
  • It is advisable to use round or oval dishes instead of square or rectangular ones, as foods in the corners of the dish may be overcooked. The following list will assist you in selecting the appropriate containers.
