Product Information

This product is an electric knife sharpener that operates on 230V/50Hz power supply and has a motor speed of 1950 rpm. It has a power rating of 70W and its dimensions are 190mm x 90mm x 80mm.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the entire blade is dry and free of oil, grease, and food particles.
  2. Insert the blade close to its handle or cap, making sure that the entire blade can be sharpened.
  3. Hold the knife horizontally in relation to the knife sharpener and do not press down on the tip of the knife.
  4. Insert the blade along the diagonal slot and alternate single pulls in the left and right slots.
  5. Make several strokes depending on the dullness of the knives, applying moderate downward pressure, but not too much pressure.
  6. Repeat this process in each slot.
  7. Make sure to check for burrs.
  8. Do not sharpen serrated knives or apply strong downward pressure.
  9. After use, clean the device and store it in a safe place.
  10. If disposing of the device, do not dispose of it along with household waste. Use specialized companies for disposing of electrical equipment.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Improper handling and misuse may cause serious damage to the device or injury to persons.
  • The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
  • The manufacturer shall not be held liable for damage caused by improper handling or misuse of the device.
  • During use, protect the device and the power cord plug from contact with water or other liquids. In the event that the device inadvertently falls into water, immediately pull the plug out of the socket and have the device checked by a specialist.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in life-threatening injuries.

  • Never open the housing of the device yourself.
  • Do not insert any objects into the housing of the device.
  • Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

  • When any blunt knives and blades of different thicknesses are sharpened for the first time, it will take longer to reach the desired level of sharpness.
  • Place the knife in the sharpening slot and pull it smoothly in its direction. The left slot sharpens the knife edge on the left side, and the right slot sharpens the right side. You can start by sharpening the left side of the blade edge as well as the right side.
  • Knives must be clean and dry. There is no need to use water for the sharpening process.
  • Before using the machine, wipe off any water or grease droplets from the knife edge to prevent grease from accumulating on the surface of the abrasive belt and to prolong its life.

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

Correct positioning of the knife

  • Insert the blade close to its handle A or cap B to ensure that the entire blade from C to tip D can be sharpened.
  • Hold the knife horizontally in relation to the knife sharpener.
  • Do not press down on the tip of the knife.

Note : Insert the blade along the diagonal slot and alternate single pulls in the left and right slots.

NOTE : Individual pulls are placed alternately in the left and right slots.

Make several strokes alternately, depending on the dullness of the knives. Apply moderate downward pressure. Do not apply too much pressure.

HOW TO CHECK FOR BURRS

  • Slide your finger across and away from the edge to see if a burr has formed (CAUTION possibility of injury).
  • A burr will form on the left or right side of the edge.
  • If there is no burr, make more strokes again.
  • If a burr is present, alternate left and right strokes using very gentle pressure to remove the burr and produce a razor sharp edge.

NOTE

  • Make sure the entire blade is dry and free of oil, grease and food particles.
  • Do not sharpen serrated knives.
  • Do not apply strong downward pressure

CONSERVATION

WARNING : DANGER OF INJURY, UNPLUG THE POWER CORD BEFORE OPENING THE CLEANER. Remove and clean the pull-out swarf tray and wipe its top surface with a dry cloth.

DISPOSING OF USED EQUIPMENT

  • Leave the old device in the store where you are buying a new device. Each store has an obligation to take your old equipment free of charge if you buy new equipment of the same type and in the same quantity. The only condition is to deliver the equipment to the store at your own expense.
  • Take the used device to a collection point. You will find information about the nearest location on the municipal website or bulletin board of the municipal office.
  • Leave the device at the service point. If the repair of the device is uneconomical or impossible for technical reasons, the service is obliged accept the device free of charge.
  • Return used equipment without leaving your house. If you don’t have the time or ability to transport your equipment to a collection point, you can use the services of specialized companies

Remember! Do not dispose of used equipment along with household waste. This could cause high fines. The symbol of the crossed-out waste bin on the product, its packaging or the instruction manual means that the product should not be disposed of to normal waste bins. The user is obliged to hand over the used equipment to a designated collection point for proper processing.

WARRANTY

The seller shall be liable under the warranty or guarantee. Damage resulting from the formation of lime scale deposits in the device are not subject to repair under the warranty. Warranty exchange does not cover such elements as: light bulbs, rubber components, heating elements damaged by lime scale, screws and elements undergoing natural wear, e.g. rubber seals and all kinds of mechanically damaged elements. Any damage of components resulting from improper use is also excluded from the warranty. The warranty is automatically voided in the event of a broken warranty seal or independent repairs.
