OverView

The most recent model of KEF’s acclaimed Q Series is the Q150 Bookshelf Speaker. The upgraded 5.25″ Uni-Q driver Array, updated cabinet, and stylish new finishes all come included on the Q150.

The Uni-Q Driver Array of the Q150 has been improved, and the crossovers have been redesigned to deliver cleaner, more accurate bass. The Q150’s internal architecture has been revised to eliminate internal resonances and improve audio clarity. The front port has been relocated to the back of the device. Elegant matte vinyl finishes in Black and White are offered for the Q150. Impedance nominal: 8 (min. 3.7). When there isn’t much room, the amazing Q Series bookshelf speakers shine. The Q150s’ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) port design and characteristic KEF Uni-Q speaker array produce accurate, natural sound with excellent clarity and tight bass.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can I connect these to a computer running Windows 10?****

Not directly; a stereo receiver is required. The speakers don’t have an amplifier.

Does the KEF Q350 speaker system pair nicely with a Pioneer VXS-822 receiver?****

Yes, they can be paired nicely.

Do speaker cords come with it?****

No, speaker wire is not included. Any speaker wire, such as Monoprice wire, is acceptable.

Do these have a jack for a subwoofer output?****

No, these speakers are passive.

Are they wireless speakers?****

These speakers are not wireless, sorry. These speakers are conventional or “passive,” requiring speaker wire to be connected to an amplifier of some sort. If you’re looking for wireless speakers from KEF, we offer the LSX speakers, which have multiple uses, or the LS50 Wireless. (Connect to TV, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AUX, hook up a subwoofer and for LS50 Wireless RCA connection).

Do the speakers on the pair have grills?****

Unfortunately, they do not come with speaker grills. You may purchase them individually, though most people love the way they look without the grill.

Are KEF speakers really good?****

One of the best suppliers of British hi-fi, KEF has a prestigious history dating back more than 50 years. Although there have been some ups and downs since then, the company hasn’t lost its knack for creating elegant speakers with excellent sound.

What is KEF Q Series?****

The Q Series accurately mimics the subtleties of bass instruments. KEF drivers offer clearer bass at high volumes thanks to a larger roll surround and improved suspension. Midrange clarity is improved by a revised cone construction, and bass quality is improved by an upgraded Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with a new surround and rear suspension.

Are KEF speakers high end?****

An array of high-end audio devices, including Hi-Fi speakers, subwoofers, architecture speakers, wireless speakers, and headphones, are designed and manufactured by the British business KEF.

Should I toe in my KEF speakers?****

Toe-in is not required, as it sometimes is with many other loudspeakers, thanks to Uni-Q. Beginning with the speakers looking directly into the room is something we would always advise.

Are KEF speakers warm sounding?****

You simply cannot get enough of the crisp, warm, and smooth music that this speaker creates, but that is not all it can accomplish. The KEF Q150 is the ideal option for you if you want: A superb tweeter positioned in the middle of the midrange cone.

Why are KEF speakers good?****

The result is a purer, more realistic sound along with superior wireless performance (up to 24 bit/96 kHz), according to KEF, when combined with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which the company claims removes 99 percent of extraneous sound from the rear of the tweeter.

Do speakers really need to break in?****

New speakers need time to break in and won’t sound their best until they do, much like a new pair of shoes. During break-in, the speaker’s suspension’s constituent parts predominantly undergo alteration. These parts are the cone surround (upper suspension) and the spider (lower suspension).

Is it better to have speakers in front or behind you?****

In particular, aim your speakers at a spot immediately behind the listener’s head. Do this by angling your speakers inward. Reduce toe-in if you want good sound over a larger listening area. A few degrees at a time, adjust the angle of your speakers to find the sweet spot.

Does it matter if speakers upside down?****

In contrast to placing speakers sideways, which has disadvantages, mounting speakers upside down has no practical advantages other than ease.
