COOKING RICE
1. Measure up the required amount of rice with the supplied measuring cup.
NOTE
- Rinse the rice several times until the water is clear.
- Do NOT rinse the rice in the pan, this can damage the coating or deform the bottom, which results in inferior contact with the hob and therefore inferior heating.
2. Pour the rice in the pan and fill it up with water to the corresponding
marking.
NOTE
- The scale on the pan Is graduated to the number of cups of rice.
- For example, to cook two cups of rice pour the rice into the pan and fill up with water to the two marks on the scale.
- The amount of water may need to be adjusted somewhat, depending on the type of rice and personal taste. Example: White rice: one cup of rice, one cup of water. Red rice: one cup of rice, one and a half cups of water.
- Do not fill over the MAX marking, there is a risk of boiling over and/or short-circuiting.
3. Check that the pan is clean and dry. Put the pan in the rice cooker and
turn it slightly from side to side to ensure it is in good contact with hot
plate. Spread the rice uniformly in the pan.
4. Put the glass lid on the pan.
5. Plug in the plug and press the cook button. The status light COOK goes on
and the cooking starts.
NOTE If the button Is not pressed the rice cooker stays in keep-warm
mode.
6. When the cooking is ready the button returns to its original position with
a dick. The rice cooker switches to keep-wan mode and the status light WARM
goes on.
After cooking
- Leave the rice cooker in keep-warm mode with the lid on the pan for about 15 minutes to make the rice fluffier and tastier.
