SureCall Fusion Professional 2.0 Cell Booster for Home and Office
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
CHECK FOR OUTSIDE SIGNAL STRENGTH
Your booster performance is determined by the signal received by the outside
antenna. Make sure that you have reliable signal outside your home, at roof
level, where you plan to place the outside antenna. NOTE: The weaker your
outside signal, the more limited your coverage will be indoors.
BETTER ANTENNA SEPARATION MEANS BETTER PERFORMANCE
Maintain a distance of at least vertical 25 feet, up to 50 feet of horizontal
distance, especially if vertical distance cannot be achieved. Also, make
certain the antennas are aimed away from one another.
YOUR CELL PHONE BARS ARE NOT AN ACCURATE MEASURING TOOL
Cell phone bars are approximate and vary from by phone and carrier. During
installation and testing, Always take multiple readings several minutes apart.
Also, verify that you can place and hold a call.
Installation Overview
Contents
Before installation, review the above information. Prior to securing the location of any booster parts, a “soft install” is recommended as adjustments may be needed to optimize performance. In addition to the contents listed, you will need a ladder, drill, cable clips, and a mounting pole for your outside antenna. If needed, one is available separately (part # SC-MOUNT-JBAR). Other recommended accessories for your SureCall booster kit are listed below.
Recommended Accessories
- SC-LP Lightning protector for 50Ω SC-400
- SC-MOUNT-JBAR Outdoor antenna mounting pole
FIND THE AREA OUTSIDE WITH THE STRONGEST SIGNAL
Identify the outside location with the strongest signal for the placement of
your outdoor Yagi antenna. Maximum performance is achieved when the antenna is
aimed toward the strongest signal source. If you know the direction of your
provider’s tower, point the antenna in that direction. If you are unsure of
the location, you may utilize an app such as ‘Open Signal’ or go to
www.cellmapper.net Do not fix mounting hardware
until the optimum antenna angle is found. Loosely secure the antenna in a
manner that allows for rotation during final system testing.
INSTALL THE OUTSIDE ANTENNA
To install the outside antenna, assemble the u-bolt, bracket, nuts and washers as shown in the illustration. Keep the connections loose enough to allow the antenna to rotate until the optimum direction is found. Once the outside antenna is secured to a pipe or pole, connect one end of the provided 50 ft. coax cable to the antenna and route the other end inside near the location of the amplifier.
INSTALL INSIDE ANTENNA AND AMPLIFIER
Choosing a location for the panel antenna that faces the direction signal is needed while maximizing separation (isolation) between antennas. Install the panel antenna as shown in the illustration. Using the plate, mark desired placement and screw the mounting plate into place. Slide antenna onto mounting plate. Next, connect the amplifier to the panel antenna. Place the amplifier near the panel antenna and a working AC outlet. Using the 20 ft. of cable, connect the antenna to the port marked “INSIDE”. Next, locate and connect the open end of the 50 ft cable from the outside antenna to the amplifier port marked “OUTSIDE”.
CONNECT POWER
Connect the AC power supply to the booster and plug it into a 110V AC power
outlet. Once the booster has been completely assembled, turn the booster’s
power switch on.
Note: If the Power LED does not turn ON or the Alert LEDs continue to flash,
see the Troubleshooting section. This booster is rated for 5-20V input
voltage. DO NOT use the booster with another power supply. This can damage the
booster, cause personal injury and void your warranty
CHECK AND OPTIMIZE THE SYSTEM, IF NEEDED
When your system is in place and fully connected, verify that you have a
reliable connection by taking multiple readings several minutes apart. If the
signal strength has improved, your booster is working. Remember, coverage
varies based on outdoor signal level, house construction, and antenna
placement. Coverage in adjoining rooms will be reduced by walls and building
materials. The gain dials should always be set to maximum level unless a
control light is FLASHING RED-YELLOW. Additionally, they should only be
reduced if other recommended actions do not resolvethe issue In any of these
cases, the first action should be to increase the isolation between the inside
and outside antenna as much as possible.

Troubleshooting
Problem: Signal booster has no power
Connect the power supply to an alternate power source. Verify that the power
source is not controlled by a switch that has removed power from the outlet.
If the POWER LED on the signal booster remains OFF, contact tech support at:
1-888-365-6283 or
support@surecall.com
Problem: Following installation, signal coverage has not improved
- Verify that all cable connections are tightly fitted.
- Try further separating the antennas.
- Verify that there is usable signal where the outside antenna is placed.
Remember: Bars are not always a reliable measure of the signal. The best way to confirm signal coverage is the ability to place and hold a call.
