IMPORTANT

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING LED HID BULBS. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. RAB LED HID Bulbs must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable codes. Proper grounding is required for safety. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITHTHE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITHTHE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.

WARNINGS

  • Mainly apply for high bay other suitable light fixtures.

  • Operating temperature : -20°C to 45°C (-4°F to 113°F).

  • These LED Lamps require all ballasts, capacitors, and ignitors to be bypassed or removed. Do not operate lamps on existing ballasts.

  • Risk of fire or electric shock. Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for installation of LED retrofit kit. Check for enclosed wiring and components.

  • Risk of fire or lectric shock. LED Retrofit lamp installation requires knowledge ofluminaires electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.

  • Do not use with dimmers.

  • THIS DEVICE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH EMERGENCY EXITS

  • When using in portable table luminaires, ensure the distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the lampholder does not exceed three (3) times the base diameter.

  • For use in enclosed fixtures.

  • Before installation make certain the AC power to the fixture is off.

  • Do not make or alter any
    those open holes indicated in the photographs or drawings may be added or altered as a result of kit installation. Do not leave any other open holes in the wiring enclosure or electrical component enclosure during installation.

  • Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lampholder terminals to make new connections at lampholder terminals. Instead installers should cut existing lampholder leads away from the lampholder and make new electrical connections to lampholder lead wires by employing applicable connectors.

  • To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.

  • Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the pen holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation. Only luminaire.

  • Please examine all parts that are not intended to be replaced by the retrofit kit for damage and replace any damaged parts prior to installation of the retrofit kit.

  • THE RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE ETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AND APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES. THE INSTALLATION GUIDE DOES NOT SUPERSEDE LOCAL OR NATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Any changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

You must use the safety cable to tight the lamps in case of flling down due to old socket

INSTALLATION STEPS

  1. Step:1 Turn off the power before installation. As shown in Figure 1 Remove the old Ballast, Capacitor and Ignitor (Gif existing)
  2. Step:2 As shown in Figure 2 Make sure the Alternating Current Wires connect to the socket directly. (Reattach or replace ground lead if one is needed).
  3. Step:3 As shown in Figure 3 Flip the color switch to the desired position before installation. Dial and rotate the dimmer knob to adjust to the required luminous flux position before installation.
  4. Step:4 As shown in Figure 4 Screw the LED lamp into the corresponding socket. Attach retrofit label to luminaire
