Field of application

Face shield that protects against flying particles such as wood chips.
EN 1731: 2007 type S (basic use/mechanical strength). ANSI Z87.1: 2015.
It does not protect against high speed particles or liquid spray (including molten metal), hot solids, electrical hazards, infrared or ultraviolet rays.
It is compatible with the VERTEX (2019 version) and STRATO helmets.
This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.

Mounting the face shield

Replace the helmet’s side inserts with those included with the face shield, then clip the face shield on both sides of the helmet. Removal (see drawings).

Precautions for use

  • WARNING: replace your face shield if it is scratched or damaged.
  • Do not use mesh goggles or shields marked ‘S’ when a foreseeable risk of hard and sharp airborne particles is present.

When to retire your equipment:
WARNING: an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after only one use, depending on the type and intensity of usage and the environment of usage (harsh environments, marine environments, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, chemicals…
A product must be retired when:

  • It is over 10 years old and made of plastic or textiles.
  • It has been subjected to a major fall (or load).
  • It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
  • You do not know its full usage history.
  • When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique or incompatibility with other equipment…
