Field of application
Eye shield that protects against flying particles, for work at height and outdoor work. CE EN 166 (class 1 optic). ANSI Z87.1-2015. The VIZIR protects against high-speed particles at extreme temperatures (-5° C/+55° C temperatures – average impact energy B = 120 m/s). It is compatible with the VERTEX (2019 version) and STRATO helmets. This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose other than that for which it is designed (for example, electrical shock and/or molten metal splash hazards).
Mounting the face shield
Replace the helmet’s side inserts with those included with the face shield, then clip the face shield on both sides of the helmet. Removal (see drawings).

Precautions for use
– Warning: skin contact with the materials in this product can cause an
allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
– Warning: replace your face shield if it is scratched or damaged.
– Warning: if you wear the face shield over prescription eyeglasses with
temples, impacts against the face shield (for example from high-speed
particles) can be dangerous to the wearer.

This product meets the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal
protective equipment. The EU declaration of conformity is available at
Petzl.com. When to retire your equipment: WARNING: an exceptional event can
lead you to retire a product after only one use, depending on the type and
intensity of usage and the environment of usage (harsh environments, marine
environments, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, chemicals…). A product must
be retired when:
– It is over 10 years old and made of plastic or textiles.
– It has been subjected to a major fall or load.
– It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
– You do not know its full usage history.
– When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique
or incompatibility with other equipment… Destroy these products to prevent
further use.

Cleaning the VIZIR with water can damage the anti-scratch and anti-fog surface treatments. Do not use an abrasive cloth or product. -

Against any material or manufacturing defect. Exclusions: normal wear and
tear, oxidation, modifications or alterations, incorrect storage, poor
maintenance, negligence, uses for which this product is not designed.
