Location and Use
Use the blanket as an under blanket only. This blanket is designed for
domestic use only.

ensuring that the blanket heating wires do not overhang the bed edge and is
not in the area of any intended pillow. Carefully fit the blanket to the bed.
Secure each corner and also the middle.
WARNING! The blanket must be securely in place.
WARNING! The cord and control must be outside the bedding at all times and
away from other heat sources such as heating and lamps.
Controls.
The controller has the following settings. Warning! Ensure heat control is
correctly attached before connecting to the mains supply. Input plug and
connecting socket must be secured and locked under the locking flap.
0 OFF
1 LOW HEAT
2 MEDIUM HEAT
3 HIGH OR PRE HEAT.
0 OFF
WARNING! Use HIGH setting to pre heat the bed 1 or 2 hours before use
only.
WARNING! DO NOT sleep with the control set to this setting (HIGH).
Operation.
Caution. This blanket should be used to heat the bed before sleeping. It is
not recommended to sleep on any electric blanket whilst heating.
Once the electric blanket has been installed correctly in position and the
bedding completed, connect the controller supply plug to a suitable power
outlet. Ensure the controller is set to ‘Off’ before plugging in. Select the
desired heat setting on the controller. The indicator lamp indicates that the
blanket is ON.
Caution: First-Time Use
For first time use it is recommended that the blanket be set on HIGH for 2
hours before sleeping on the bed. This will assist in drying any moisture out
of the mattress. Ignore any initial small odour that may occur with first time
use.
For normal use select the desired heat on the controller. Warning! Do not
sleep with the controller set to HIGH. Use HIGH setting only to pre heat the
bed then reduce the heat setting to MEDIUM or LOW. Set to OFF before going to
sleep or when the heat is no longer required.
Warning! Remember to switch the blanket controller to “OFF” at the end of
use and disconnect from the mains supply, do not leave on indefinitely. There
may be a risk of fire.
Warning! For added safety it is recommended that this blanket be used with
a residual current safety device (safety switch) with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
