Intended Use
- The appliance is intended for dehydrating foodstuffs only in a household environment. It is not intended for commercial use. This is suitable for kitchen bench-top use, thus indoors and in a dry area. Not suitable for use by children or persons with lack of physical dexterity or mental capacity.
Warnings and Safety Instructions
Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of
suffocation!
Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully before using
your KitchenBrothers Food Dehydrator!
Hot surfaces are still hot after use
General
- Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the Food Dehydrator. Misuse can result in personal injury, or destruction of the product.
- Use the Food Dehydrator only for purposes described in this user manual.
- If the Food Dehydrator malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use it and contact Customer Service.
- The Food Dehydrator is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
Persons
- The Food Dehydrator should not be used by children, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- The Food Dehydrator can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Use
- The appliance is not intended for heating foodstuffs.
- The appliance is not intended for drying other products that are not related to consumable food.
- The Food Dehydrator is not to be used as a room air circulator or room heater.
- Place the Food Dehydrator on a stable, even, heat-resistant, and non-slip surface.
- Leave a distance of at least 10 cm around the appliance and at least 60 cm upwards to avoid damage from heat or steam.
- Do not place other heat sources near the Food Dehydrator.
- Do not enclose or place items in or on the Food Dehydrator, and do not cover the device. Do not block the fan or the air vents.
- The appliance, drying trays and dried food will become hot during and after use. Operate with attention, using an oven mitt to avoid skin burns when removing the trays.
- Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep your hands, hair, clothing, spatulas and other utensils away during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons and/or damage to the machine.
- Do not move the appliance whilst in use or when it is still hot.
Electronics
- Appliance is electrically connected, do not immerse any part in water or other liquids.
- Protection should be provided to avoid exposure to moisture or water splashes.
- In the event of having a part wet with water, remove the mains plug immediately.
- Do not touch the device with wet or moist hands.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents when cleaning.
- Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Food Dehydrator. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the Food Dehydrator to the service centre for repairs.
- Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Food Dehydrator.
- Always check the power cord and plug before using the Food Dehydrator. Do NOT operate the Food Dehydrator if the cord or plug are damaged. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
- When you are not using the Food Dehydrator, turn the device off and disconnect the device from the power socket
- If the power fails during usage, turn off the Food Dehydrator immediately and pull the plug from the socket.
- Do NOT disconnect the Food Dehydrator from its power supply by pulling the cable.
- Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
- Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch a hot surface.
Receiving Your Shipment
- When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Operating Instructions
- The appliance, drying trays and dried food will become hot during and after use. Operate with attention, using an oven mitt to avoid skin burns when removing the trays.
- Do not move the appliance whilst in use or when it is still hot.

Before First Use
- Remove all packaging from your dehydrator and its accessories. Make sure all package contents are included
- Clean the trays with a moistened cloth.
- Place the dehydrator base on a solid, level, heat-resistant, and non-slip surface. Plug in. Stack the drying trays in the dehydrator
- Run the dehydrator for 30 minutes at any temperature, without adding any food. Make sure that the room has sufficient ventilation, in case the dehydrator produces any smoke or smells. This is normal.
- Rinse the trays in water. Dry all parts. Note: You only need to do this the first time you use the dehydrator.
How to Use
- Place the filled drying trays onto the embossed insertion levels. Make sure that the food does not touch the protective grid in the rear part inside the appliance. Close the door of the appliance.
- Plug in the Food Dehydrator and you will hear a “beep”. “8888” is displayed and after 5 seconds the display changes to “0000”. The TIME/TEMP button will flash.
- Set the temperature (35 – 75°C in 5°C steps) by pressing the TIME/TEMP once and the TIME/TEMP button will light up continuously. The default temperature setting (70°C) will appear on the display, and the “-” and “+”, and “Start/Stop” buttons will start blinking. You can reduce the temperature by touching the “-” button. You can increase the temperature by pressing the “+” button. Press and hold + or – to change the temperature rapidly. If you don’t press any buttons within 5 seconds, the appliance switches to waiting mode, and only the “START/STOP” button will blink.
- Press the TIME/TEMP button again to set the time (30 min to 24 h – in 30 min steps). The default setting is 10:00 h. The “-” and “+”, and “Start/Stop” buttons will start blinking. You can reduce the time by touching the “-” button. Press and hold + or – to change the time rapidly. You can increase the time by pressing the “+” button. If you don’t press any buttons within 60 seconds, the appliance switches to standby mode.
- Once all the required settings have been selected, you can turn on the Food Dehydrator by pressing the “START/STOP’’ button. Once the appliance has started, the two dots in the centre of the display are flashing. Once the preset drying time has been reached, the Food Dryer shuts off automatically. A “beep” will sound 5 times and the display shows “End”. The “START/STOP” button will blink, touch the button to confirm that the drying process has finished.
- The appliance switches to “waiting mode” for 60 seconds and switches to “standby mode” after these 60 seconds. The “TIME/TEMP“ button blinks and “0000” is shown in the display. Pull the power plug after each use for safe switch-off!
Pause the drying process for a short time
- Touch the “START/STOP” button. The appliance switches to “waiting mode”. The two dots in the centre of the display light up continuously.
- To restart the drying process, touch the “START/STOP’’ button again. The two dots in the middle of the display will start flashing.
- If the appliance is not restarted within 60 seconds, it switches to “standby mode”. In this case the “TIME/TEMP” button will flash.
Change temperature or drying time during operation
- Touch the “TIME/TEMP’’ button once to change the temperature or twice to change the time. The “+” and “-” buttons and the display will flash. The setting can be changed with the “+” and “-” buttons. Press the “START/STOP” button twice to confirm the new settings.
Ending the drying process before the set time has elapsed
- Touch the “START/STOP” button. The appliance switches to “waiting mode” for 60 seconds. The two dots in the centre of the display light up continuously. After 60 seconds, the appliance switches to “standby mode” and the “TIME/TEMP” will flash.
Fan
- You can use the fan function to cool the dried food. The fan can be turned on when the temperature is below 35°C.

Disconnect the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down before turning it on again.

ef Jerky| Cut lean meat into strips about 1 cm thick. Leave to soak in a
marinade for about 8 – 12 hours. Dab lightly before drying.
Our tip for a delicious marinade (for approx. 1 kg meat):
– 150 ml Worcester sauce
– 250 ml soy sauce
– 1/2 tsp salt (use smoked salt as alter- native) – 2 tsp pepper
– 3 tbsp ketchup
– 3 tsp rebelled oregano (optional)
– Garlic to taste Mix all ingredients.

VERY IMPORTANT
When handling raw meat, best possible hygienic precaution is required! This
will avoid that germs (coliform bacteria, salmonella) can proliferate on the
meat or marinade:
Wash your hands thoroughly first!
Interrupt the cooling chain of the meat as short as possible.
The cutting tools must be absolutely clean.
All obje cts that got into contact with the meat must be cleaned with boiling
water afterwards! DO NOT touch raw meat with hands that show open wounds as
bacteria might cause a serious infection!
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Only move or clean the Food Dehydrator when the appliance is fully cooled down. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. The stainless steel trays, the mesh tray, and the drip tray are dishwasher safe. Make sure the appliance does not come into contact with water, and don’t touch the appliance with wet hands.
Storage
- Store the Food Dehydrator in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.
Disposal – Recycle
- Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner

- Speriod, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects have to be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
