APPLICATION
This two-way, active bass-reflex sound box is recommended primarily for hobby and party entertainment purposes. The built-in battery allows operation without mains voltage. The wireless BT connection, or a pair of RCA sockets (LINE IN) and two 6.3mm diameter microphone inputs allow direct connection of external devices, such as: mobile phone, PC, CD/DVD player, instrument, microphone… The appliance has an FM/BT/USB/SD/MP3 media player. Accessories include a remote controller and mains charging cable.

POWER SUPPLY, CHARGING THE BATTERY

The sound box can be operated from the built-in battery. The battery must be charged before the first use. Connect the supplied power cable to the sound box (POWER IN socket backside) , then connect it to the network and leave the sound box switched off. During charging the red LED is lighting on the display. Stop charging by removing the power cable, if the red LED goes off or the latest after 5 hours. In case of fully depleted battery, the charging time is approximately 2 hours. This provides approx. 14 hours operation timeb from internal battery at medium volume. It also depends on the volume set, the mode selected and the ambient temperature. The test has been done by listening to radio at room temperature. It also can be charged while in use, but it increases the charging time

3-way tilt switch on the backside (SWITCH)

Battery Power| OFF / Recharge| AC
operating from the built-in battery| switch off / charging| operating from the mains

  • The battery can be charged in either of the three switch positions! To fully de-energise the unit, turn it OFF and disconnect from the mains. Otherwise, the battery charger will continue to operate.
  • Battery status indication: in switched on status, on the lower right corner of the display a triple symbol shows the battery status. The number of signals decreases during depletion.
  • After charging and/or ending use, unplug the adapter from the mains and the device! Keep it connected after full charging only if the device is in continuous operation. Charging can cause noise in the loudspeakers. When the machine is switched off, the automatic battery charger operates. Remove the adapter from the network after charging is complete!
  • For sake of extended battery life, keep the battery in charged status even when it is out of use!
  • The used battery is closed, Li-ion type. It does not require maintenance. At the end of its lifetime, it can be replaced by a specialist after removing the control panel. The cover is fixed with screws.

PUTTING INTO USE
All connections should be done when the system is powered off! The sound box and the device to be connected are also should be in switched-off state! Make sure that that the wiring and polarity of the connectors are correct. Keep the microphone cable and audio cable away from the power cable! You have to connect the power adapter firstly to the sound box, then to the power socket. To switch off, set the backside tilt switch to Battery Power position, if you want to use it independently from the mains, from the built-in battery. If the device is connected to the mains, set the switch to AC position and use it like this. When the switch on the back is turned on, the message “StandBy” appears on the display. Now briefly press the MODE/POWER button on the top control panel. You can turn off the unit by pressing and holding this button. The sound box will also turn off automatically if you do not play any audio signal for approx. 15 minutes. For example, if no external device is connected in BT or LINE mode.

VOLUME CONTROL AND FUNCTION SWITCHING
You can control the volume using the VOLUME/POWER knob or the VOL+/VOL- buttons on the remote controller. The function to be operated can be selected by briefly pressing the MODE/POWER button (or MODE on the remote controller): BLUE–USB–SD–LINE–FM–BLUE… Available multimedia functions: wireless BT connection, USB/SD MP3 player, FM radio, use of external microphones (optional), connection of external  devices (LINE IN jacks). The available services may vary depending on the signal source used. The volume know is electronically controlled; do not turn it fast, as the processing of data may be slow.

THE MAXIMAL VOLUME
Every speaker must be eased into working before proper usage. In the first 30-50 operation hours it should only run at 50% capacity! At higher volume levels – in some cases – there may be distorted, low-quality sound. This can be caused by the too large input signal. To avoid this, reduce the signal level of the particular external equipment or if necessary the main volume (VOLUME). The system’s maximum volume is that which can still hear without distortions.

  • By further increasing the volume, there is no increase in output power, or even the distortion of the system increases! This is harmful to th loudspeaker and may cause malfunction!
  • If you are connecting a microphone, place it as far away from the audio box as possible to eliminate the noise! Do not point the sound box towards the microphone, because the noise damages the loudspeakers! When using a microphone, gently increase the volume and, if you experience noise, immediately turn the control back and replace the sound box into another position if necessary.

TONE CONTROL, VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT FUNCTION
The tone may be adjusted individually in many ways on the control panel of the sound box and  on the remote control. Note that different signal sources often require different settings, otherwise the sound quality may decline. Caution! Briefly press the MEGABASS button to turn extra bass or press and hold it to turn English voice announcement on or off. When switched, the display shows V ON or V OFF. Sound effect options (extra bass, bass and treble control, sound field settings; MEGABASS, BASS, TREBLE, EQ NORMAL / CLASSIC / POP / ROCK

The player application on the playback device (e.g., a mobile phone) can usually be controlled remotely using the buttons on the control panel.

  • one speaker can be paired with one BT device at a time.
  • If the wireless connection is lost, if necessary, press the MODE/POWERn button until the BT function is accessed again, and the pairing mode is reactivated.
  • If you receive a phone call to the connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music will pause. If needed, resume playback on your phone after the call.
  • In certain cases, the BT functionality may be limited due to the individual features of the external device
  • The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions (e.g., walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances, motion…)
  • Electrical devices operated nearby may cause abnormal operation or noise; this does not indicate a malfunction of the sound box!
  • If you listen to the product while charging, the speakers may occasionally pick up mains hum.
  • Abnormal operation may be caused by the individual characteristics of the external device; this is not a sign of product malfunction. In certain cases, the BT functionality may be limited, depending on the external device.

MP3 PLAYBACK FROM USB/SD STORAGE MEDIA
The player is ready to play when the device is switched on. Carefully insert the USB or SD memory and the device will automatically switch to MP3 playback mode and start playing. The display shows the text USB or SD, the time elapsed from the current track or the track number when scrolling.
