Thank you for purchasing our smoke alarm device. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and store it in a safe place for future reference.

Installation instructions

  1. Check figure 1, 2 and 3 for correct installation locations.
  2. Smoke, heat and burning things will spread horizontally after rising to the ceiling, so install the alarm in middle of the ceiling.
  3. If the length of the room or the hall is beyond 10 meters, you need to install multiple alarms.

Don’t install on these locations

  1. High-humidity areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
  2. Next to air outlets, fans and central heating.
  3. Dusty, dirty areas or areas with insects.
  4. High-temperature and easily polluted places.
  5. Places with difficult access, making it difficult to operate the test function.
  6. Within 1.5 meters from lamps.
  7. Next to doors or windows.
  8. In the top of rooms with sloping roofs, the corner of the room or other deadair spaces.

Mounting the smoke detector

  1. Twist off the mounting bracket from the smoke detector.
  2. Put the bracket on the installation position and mark the 2 screw holes.
  3. Drill two 5mm mounting holes and insert two plastic anchor plugs by hammer.
  4. Screw the mounting bracket to the ceiling or the wall.
  5. Attach the smoke detector to the mounting bracket and turn clockwise to lock the alarm.

CAUTION

  1. The installation instructions must be followed strictly to avoid unsafe conditions.
  2. Do not paint your smoke detector.
  3. The battery cannot be replaced; do not try to replace the battery.

Activate and deactivate the device
The device is deactivated by default before leaving the factory. Before the device can be used normally, the product must be activated.
Activate: Press the test button over 10 seconds until the red LED indicator lights up. After you release the test button the smoke detector is activated and can be used.
Deactivate: Press the test button over 10 seconds until the red LED indicator blinks twice. After you release the test button the smoke detector is deactivated and cannot be used.

Test your alarm
Test the unit to ensure proper operation by pressing the cover. The alarm will sound if the unit is working well. If there is no sound, refer to the “Trouble shooting” section.
CAUTION:

  1. DO NOT test your smoke detector using an open flame. This may damage the smoke alarm or ignite combustible materials and start a structural fire.
  2. DO NOT stand close to the smoke detector when the alarm is sounding. Exposure at close range may be harmful to your ears.
  3. Monthly test: test this smoke detector once a month.

LED Indicators

  1. Normal status: Green LED Flashes once every 60 seconds.
  2. Test status: Red LED flashes once every second.
  3. Hush/Silence mode: Red LED flashes once every 8 seconds.
  4. Low battery status: Red LED flashes once every 60 seconds and 1 beeevery 60 seconds.
  5. Fault status: the alarm will beep every 40 seconds.

Silence Mode
When the smoke detector is going off you can push the test button to pause it for approx. 10 minutes. During this silence mode the red LED will flash once every 8 second. The silence feature is only to be used when the source of the alarm is known and safe. The smoke detector will automatically reset after approximately 10 minutes.
CAUTION:
Before using the smoke detectors silence mode, identify the source of the smoke and be certain a safe condition exists.
Connect to your Wifi network

  1. Make sure that your bluetooth is activated and your Wi-Fi network supports the 2.4GHz band
  2. Scan the QR code on the right → or search for the “Smart Life” app on the Google Play or Apple APP Store and install the application.
  3. Open the “Smart Life” app and create an account by following the instructions
  4. Select the “Home” tab( ) and click “Add Device”

Now you have 2 options:
a) press the test button on the smoke detector 4 times until the red light starts blinking. The app should detect the smoke detector automatically.
b) If that doesn’t work, Click the “Scan” button( ) in the upper right corner and scan the QR code below.

Follow the instructions to complete the pairing process. Please note you can skip the battery question as your smoke alarm has already a non-replaceable battery installed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

There are a few simple steps you need do to keep it working properly:

  1. Test the smoke detector once a month.
  2. Do not paint the smoke detector. Paint will seal the vents and interfere with the sensor’s ability to detect smoke.
  3. Never attempt to disassemble the smoke detector to clean inside. This will damage the alarm.
  4. Clean the smoke detector at least once a month to remove dust, dirt or debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush and vacuum all sides and covers of the smoke detector.

Trouble Shooting

Warranty Information

Each smoke detector has to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. During the specified warranty period, we will repair or replace any defective smoke detector that is returned. Please contact us at [email protected] and include your name, address, phone number and order number along with a brief description of what is wrong with the unit. Damage from neglect, abuse or failure to adhere to any of the enclosed instructions will result in termination of the warranty, and the unit will not be replaced or repaired.
This warranty shall not apply to the smoke detector if it has been damaged, modified, abused or altered after the date of purchase or if it fails to operate due to improper maintenance.
The manufacturer shall have no liability for any personal injury, property damage or any special, incidental, contingent or consequential damage of any kind resulting from gas leakage, smoke, fire or explosion.
