Battery Safety and Precautions

  • For better performance and longer battery life, it is recommended that you charge the battery fully before using the mobile phone for the first time.
  • The optimum performance of a new battery is typically achieved after two or three complete charge cycles. Note: Keep in mind that continuous overcharging will affect long term battery life.
  • While charging, keep the mobile phone out the reach of children.
  • Store the battery in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight and water.
  • Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures (below-8°C (18°F) or above 43°C (110°F).
  • Immediately stop using the battery if it produces an odor, cracks and leaks, overheats, distorts or has any other type of physical damage.
  • Avoid using the charger near or around liquids. If the charger comes in contact with water or any liquids, immediately unplug it from the outlet to reduce the risk of overheating, charger malfunction, electric shock or fire.
Warning: Please be careful with the disposal of used batteries. Do not throw away batteries with daily waste. Please follow local environmental laws and guidelines for proper waste disposal.

RADIO FREQUENCY EXPOSITION

General statement on radio frequency and RF energy

  • Your smart device (phone) contains a transmitter and a receiver. When it is ON, it receives and transmits RF energy. When you communicate using your smart device (phone), the system handling your call controls the power level at which your smart device (phone) transmits.
    Specific absorption rate (SAR)

  • Your smart device (phone) is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to ensure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.

  • The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2W/kg(10g) and the highest SAR value for this device when tested on ear was 0.865W/kg (10g).As mobile devices offer a range of functions, they can be used in other positions, such as on the body as described in this user guide.

  • As SAR is measured utilizing the device’s highest transmitting power, the actual SAR of this device while operating is typically below than indicated above. This is due to automatic changes to the power level of the device to ensure it only uses the minimum power required to communicate with the network.

Important safety information regarding radio frequency (RF) exposure
To ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines the smart device (phone) must be used with a minimum  of 5 mm separation from the body.
Not paying attention to these instructions could result in your RF exposure exceeding the relevant guideline limits. “The highest SAR value for this mobile smart device (phone) when tested for use at the body and compliance against the standard is 0.801W/kg(10g). While there may be differences between the SAR levels on various smart devices (phone) and at various positions, they all meet the relevant International guidelines and EU requirements for RF (radio-waves) exposure”.

LIMITING EXPOSURE TO RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) FIELDS
For individuals concerned about limiting their exposure to RF fields, the World Health Organization (WHO) provides the following advice:
Precautionary measures: present scientific information does not indicate the need for any special precautions for the use of mobile smart device (phone). If individuals are concerned, they might choose to limit their own or their children’s RF exposure by limiting the length of calls, or using ‘hands-free’ devices to keep mobile smart device (phone) away from the head and body.

Further information on this subject can be obtained from the WHO home page http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fsl93/en/

This symbol on your smart device (phone), the battery and the accessories means that these products must be taken to collection points at the end of their life:

  • Municipal waste disposal centers with specific bins for these items of equipment.
  • Collection bins at points of sale.

They will then be recycled, preventing substances being disposed of in the environment, so that their components can be reused.

IN EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES
These collection points are accessible free of charge. All products with this sign must be brought to these collection points.

CAUTION
RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
-Use your smart device (phone) only with the original Redbeat batteries, chargers and accessories supplied with your smart device (phone) in the box.

  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment.

Radiation Exposure Statement

This device meets the government’s requirements for exposure to radio waves. This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S. Government.
The exposure standard for wireless device employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions (10mm) accepted by the FCC with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands.

IC Warning

IC: 32686-D5
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

RF Exposure Information and Statement
The SAR limit of Canada is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device has also been tested against this SAR limit. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 10mm from the body. To maintain compliance with IC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 10mm separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the handset. The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with IC RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided.

Body-worn Operation
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 10mm must be maintained between the user’s body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.

RF warning for Portable device
The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement. The device can be used in portable exposure condition without restriction.
