PPPWM brief description:

PPPWM is an adapter that is plugged into PP products with 4mm banana plugs (such as PP3/ PP4, etc.).

PPPWM uses:

The adapter can be set for the output 0-100% pulse width drive waveform by pressing the key. It is mainly used for such as automotive fan circuit detection, to find the part of the circuit failure, in order to replace and repair it.

PPPWM usage:

1. Plug the PPPWM into the 4mm banana socket of the PP product that is being powered by 12V, and connect the grounding lug of the PPPWM to the PP product ground. Please make sure the grounding is reliable and there is no poor grounding.
2. Connect the positive terminal of the device to be driven, such as a fan, to the PWM TIP output. The negative terminal is connected to ground.
3. Press the ROCK SWITCH of the PP product forward and do not release it, output power to PPPWM, and then the PPPWM screen lights up.
4. The output pulse width is adjusted by pressing the up or down button of PPPWM to drive the fan to rotate, etc.
5. PPPWM can display the power supply voltage. Press the Up and Down buttons simultaneously to switch between voltage display mode and pulse width display mode. Note that the pulse width cannot be adjusted in the voltage display mode.

Notes on use:

1. Do not use its output current beyond the specification range, which may cause damage to the PPPWM
2. Long time high current operation may cause PPPWM overheating and protection, and the display appears “Er1” . To prevent this condition, follow the below instruction:
   • output 0-5A(duty 0-100%), max continuous operation time is 30 min.
   • output 5-10A {duty 0-100%), max continuous operation time is 30 sec. The adapter requires a minimum of 20 minutes rest after continuous operation. The operation can be repeated only afterwards.
3. If the display appears “ErO”, this error indicates that the ground wire is not connected properly. Please check and connect the ground wire immediately and connect the PPPWM ground lug to the negative side of the power supply. If the ground is not connected, the PPPWM self-protection will turn off the output voltage and the key will be invalid, because forcing the operation in the floating ground state (load with ground and ground lug without ground) may damage the PPPWM. Please use it after troubleshooting.
4. When connecting a large load, make sure that each input and output terminal and wire connection is stable and reliable to reduce the heat caused by contact resistance energy consumption.
5. This product is only suitable for use on machines with internal jump-of switch and ROCK SWITCH, like PP3, PP4, ECT800, ECT900, etc. Plug the PPPWM power input into these machines and power them with these machines. This way the internal current-limiting trip switches of these machines provide good protection for the PPPWM when the load is too high, reducing the possibility of mis-operation. And the power cord for these classes of meters can also provide a high enough current to ensure safety. It is forbidden to supply power to it directly by electric battery.
6. This product is only applicable to the car 12V battery system, not to the 24V battery system.
7. Do not use this equipment to measure mains, it only can use for circuit of automotive.
8. Indoor use.
9. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
