Precautions

Points to observe for safe usage
Read this manual carefully before using this device and its components. They contain instructions on how to use this product in a safe and effective manner. Caliber Europe BV cannot be responsible for problems resulting from failure to observe the instructions in this manual.

Turn off the device immediately in case of a problem.
Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product. Return it to your authorized Caliber Europe BV dealer for repairing.

Product cleaning.
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.

Temperature.
Ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0°C and +45°C before turning on the device.

Maintenance.
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.

Placement.
Place the product on a flat surface. Provide enough space around the product for sufficient ventilation.

Heat.
Do not locate the appliance in the vicinity of a heat surface or in direct sunlight.

Voltage.
Check the main voltage indicated on the adapter/product rating label in accordance to the local electricity supply, if it doesn’t, return the product to the store where you bought it.

Plug.
Remove the plug from the outlet, when the product is unused for a long period of time and during thunderstorms.

Replace battery.
The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not remove or replace the battery, do not throw in the trash or in the fire. Use only supplied charging adapter.

Below the descriptions of the features/options of the HPG 2408T, hereafter called “device” .. The numbers between the “(. .. )” refer to the key or connections on the device. The illustrations can be found in the front of this manual.

Power ON/OFF
Long press the power button (9) to turn ON
Short press to turn OFF

Battery charging
The device has a built-in rechargeable battery. The device is provided with a USB power cable. Use a USB adapter and connect the adapter to the DC-in of the device (6). During charging, the indicator LED (5) lights up red and goes out again when the battery is fully charged. Charging time is 2-4 hours with the included adapter.

The device will operate without the charging cable using the internal battery. The battery discharge depends on the use of it. E.G: Heavy, loud, bass music will use more energy to produce than spoken word.

Bluetooth connection

  • Turn ON the speaker.

  • Use the [MODE] button (10) to select the Bluetooth mode.
    > The indicator LED (5) will flash rapidly blue.

  • Set your Bluetooth device to ‘Search’ using the devices’ Bluetooth menu.

  • Select “HPG240BT_CAL:’ from the list. If necessary, confirm the pairing with the access key: “0000”.

  • When the devices are paired successfully, a sound will be heard and and the LED will flash slowly. You can start playing music on your device. If your device supports AVRCP you can use the buttons on this device to control the playback.

  • Long press the [MODE] (10) button to disconnect the Bluetooth connection.

Playing from USB-stick or Micro SD card

  • Turn the speaker ON.
  • Insert a USB stick into the port (8) or insert a Micro-SD card into the slot (9), the stored music will be played automatically.
  • While playing, press [-] or [+] (8/12) to select the previous or next song.

Note : If a USB/SD is inserted in Bluetooth or AUX input mode, playback starts automatically. To return to the previous mode, press the [MODE] button.

AUX-IN:
You can connect an external device e.g. MP3 player to the AUX-in (7) of this device using a jack-to-jack (cable included).

  • When an external device is connected, The device will switch to Aux-in mode automatically.
  • Start playing music on your external device.

Note : The playback controls on this unit will not function in this mode, and you cannot enter Bluetooth mode using the [Mode] button.

TWS

  1. Turn on two identical speakers that you want to pair, note that they must have the same BT pairing name. You only need to set up one of the two devices.
  2. Long press the [ ] button (9) of one of the speakers, this speaker makes a tone to start pairing and makes 3 tones when successfully paired.
  3. Make a Bluetooth connection with your mobile phone to play music through the two paired speakers to create a more powerful stereo sound.
  4. When you want to exit TWS mode, long press the [ ] button (9) again.

Note:

  • Users need to make TWS connection first, then make Bluetooth connection with the mobile phone.
  • Under TWS mode and Bluetooth connected, when user long press the TWS button, both the TWS connection and Bluetooth connection will be disconnected.
  • Under the TWS mode, if you connected your mobile phone to the device (you set at beginning) via the provided audio cable, it will start to play AUX via TWS function, under this status, you can not switch to Bluetooth mode by pressing the Mode button.
