Safety Warnings

The following precautions should always be taken when using an electrical appliance. In order to prevent fire, electric shock and personal injuries;

  • This appliance must be grounded. This appliance is intended to be operated by a mains supply of 220-240V~ 50Hz. Check if the voltage specified on the product matches with the voltage of your mains supply.
  • Before using the appliance, make sure your mains voltage is compatible with the appliance voltage.

  • Do not pull from the cord, use the plug to unplug the appliance.
  • The children are not aware of the threats posed by the electrical appliance. Do not ever let children to play with electrical appliances.
  • Do not try tor remove an object of the appliance or try to place a metal object in the appliance.
  • In order to prevent any damage that may occur on the appliance cable, do not use the appliances on places with sharp corners.
  • Do not ever use your appliances outside. Do not expose the appliance to moisture or rain and do not operate with wet hands. This product is intended for household use only.
  • Do not direct steam on people, animals, power outlets or equipment with electrical components.
  • Your appliance will get hot when used, therefore only touch the handle. Do not touch hot surface.

  • Fill the water up to the Max. level of your appliance.

If you overfill, there is a danger that the water may overflow.

  • The appliance shall be unplugged when it is not used or while it is being cleaned. You shall wait until it is cooled down to perform cleaning.
  • Never operate your appliance when its lid is open.
  • Never put any liquid other than water into your appliance.
  • Repair works shall only be undertaken by Fakir authorized service. Repairs that have not been performed properly or carried out by unauthorized personnel may pose harm to the user. In this case, Fakir Elektrikli Ev Aletleri ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. will absolutely accept no responsibility.
  • Do not use the steam cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or immersed into water.
  • Unplug the appliance when you do not use it or while cleaning it.
  • Keep the steam cleaner away from water; do not let it get wet. If the appliance is wet, do not plug it in the outlet or operate the appliance.
  • Do not touch the steam cleaner when your hands are wet.
  • Do not pull and drag from the cord; do not use the cord as a handle; do not close a door over the cord; do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners, or expose the cord to heated surfaces.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
  • Do not punch a hole or a tear on the section where the on/off button is.
  • Descale your appliance regularly.
  • Do not use the appliance in confined spaces where oil-based paint, thinner, some anti-moth agents, vapour from flammable dusts or other explosive or toxic vapours are present.
  • Do not use on leather, polished furnitures or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate materials sensitive to steam.
  • Never put descalers, flavoured or alcohol-based products on the steam cleaner as this may damage the appliance. To maintain the performance of the appliance and to allow the mixture to get out of the appliance in the form of steam, clean the appliance regularly with a mixture of 50% of natural white vinegar and 50% of water.
  • Do not leave the wet mat pad in its housing while it is still attached.
  • Using pure or demineralized water shall maximize the performance of your steam cleaner.
  • Pay more attention while cleaning the stairs.
  • Do not use steam for heating the room.
  • Using on polished or unpolished floors may remove the gloss of floors. Do not use it on uninsulated wooden floors. Try it on an inconspicuous area or refer to the floor manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.
  • Droplets may remain in the water tank as a result of the quality test performed in the production phase.
  • A clicking sound shall be heard from the water shut-off valve if you shake this product. This is normal and it is not a malfunction.
    • CAUTION! Please read the safety rules and operation instructions written in the user manual. Keep this user manual for future use.

Unpacking

Before first use, unpack the appliance end its accessories, check for damages and defects. If there is any malfunction or damage to the equipment, do not use the appliance and get in contact with Fakir Authorized Service.

  • Repair works shall only be undertaken by Fakir authorized service. Repairs that are inadequate or carried out by unauthorized personnel may pose harm to the user.
  • Do not punch a hole or a tear on the section where the on/off button is.

First Use

Before using your steam cleaner:

Remove all packagings and place individual components on the ground. After unpacking, check the steam cleaner for visible damage, such as:

  • Damages to the main body and apparatus
  • Damage to the plug or cable.

If you observe any damage, do not use the steam cleaner and call the authorized service.

Assembly

NOTE! Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and cooled down before installing/removing any part of the appliance.

  • The handle is delivered as 2 parts:
    • Handle
    • Aluminium tube
  • Insert the handle in the aluminium tube, applying gentle pressure until you hear a click, which indicates that the handle has snapped into place.
  • When you complete this procedure, attach the aluminium tube on the main body of the appliance so that the cable winding hook shall be parallel to the rear of the appliance. Press the tab on the bottom to fully insert and secure the aluminium tube. It shall be seated with a “click”.
  • If you want to remove the aluminium tube, press the release button on the back of the appliance and lift the mechanism upwards. The release button on the top of the handle allows you to disassemble the parts of the aluminium tube when required.
  • To attach the floor apparatus to the main body, align the buttons on the body and the apparatus and lightly press on the buttons. You may use it once you are sure that it is completely attached.

Installing the microfiber mop pad

  • The steam cleaner shall never be operated without the mop pad attached.
  • Determine the part that shall stay on top, and put the mop on the pad and then place the appliance on the pad.
  • To remove the pad, press your foot on the protruding part of the fabric and lift the appliance.

Installing the carpet glider

  • A carpet glider may be used to clean carpets and rugs with the appliance. Install the microfiber mop pad before installing the carpet glider. Then install the carpet glider to use the pad more comfortably on the carpet. To install the carpet glider, lift the appliance over the attachment and attach the floor apparatus to the plastic head. Make sure that the head is secured in place.
  • To remove the carpet glider, press your foot the protruding part of the plastic and lift the appliance.

Filling the Water Tank

NOTE!

  • Unplug the steam cleaner before filling the water reservoir.
  • Do not touch any hot parts before allowing them to cool down adequately.
  1. Lay the steam cleaner horizontally.
  2. Open the cover of the water reservoir.
  3. Fill the container provided with the appliance with water. Take care not to spill the water out. Note : We recommend you to use purified water in steam cleaner particularly in areas where hard water is available. You may use tap water in the appliance, but the use of untreated hard water may reduce the performance of the appliance and shorten its service life. Never use boiling water in your steam cleaner. Avoid using hard water.
  4. Use the provided container to fill the reservoir up to the “MAX” line.
  5. Close the lid of the reservoir and secure it. Lift the device upright.

The reservoir shall provide approximately 15 minutes of steam when it is filled. The appliance shall not generate steam unless you turn on the power button and allow enough time for the water to warm up.

NOTE! The tube that transfers the water from the Water Reservoir to the heater is weighted with a brass ball. This is an intentional design to increase the efficiency of water consumption. It is normal for this ball to make a clicking sound inside the Water Reservoir during operation. If you think the brass ball is loose from the tube, refer to the instructions provided in the Troubleshooting Guide to secure it again.

Preparation for Operation

After installing all of the required parts, make sure that the floors are vacuumed/wiped before using the steam cleaner.

Operation

  1. Pull and rotate the cable winding hook, plug the steam cleaner in, and turn on the appliance.
  2. Make sure that the water reservoir is filled according to the instructions.
  3. Rotate the steam knob clockwise to turn it from “OFF” to “ON”.
  4. The power light shall illuminate in red. Wait about 30 seconds to allow the water to warm up adequately. You can adjust the amount of steam by rotating the steam adjustment knob clockwise. When the appliance is ready, the green warning light shall be illuminated.
  5. Tilt the steam cleaner backwards about 45°, and press the steam trigger. The appliance shall start to provide steam. And the steam shall be cut off automatically when the steam trigger button is released. Switch the appliance off when it is not used.
  6. Move the appliance back and forth on areas that you want to clean it with steam.

NOTE!

  • While using the steam cleaner, do not leave it on the same area for more than 30 seconds. This would cause damage.
  • If the steam flow slows down or stops, it may be necessary to refill the appliance with water. To refill the water reservoir: unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Then, you can continue cleaning by following the next instructions.

Functional Operation

  • Steam cleaner is supplied with additional apparatuses for 11 different functions such as cleaning of floors, parquets, joints and windows. Connection attachments that are provided with the appliance shall be used to replace the additional apparatuses.
  • First, remove the ground head by pressing the button on the front of the machine. Attach the fitting, and then attach the apparatus for the desired function to the end of the fitting by rotating it.
  • Bring the steam knob from (off) to on (on). You may adjust the amount of steam by turning the steam adjustment knob clockwise. The green light shall be illuminated when the appliance is ready. And the steam shall be cut off automatically when the steam button is released.

SAFETY NOTICE!

  • DO NOT direct the steam on people, animals or any part of your body.
  • Use the brush apparatus to scrape the dirt layer from the joints.
  • Use the additional apparatuses on suitable surfaces only. Brushes may cause damage to the stainless steel appliances if used improperly.
  • Do not use on the same surface for more than 30 seconds as this may cause irreparable damage.

After Operation

  1. When you need to take a break or when you are done with steam cleaning, tilt the steam cleaner forward to ensure that it stands upright. This shall stop the appliance from steaming.
  2. Bring the steam adjustment knob to “Off” position.
  3. Turn off the appliance and unplug it.
  4. Leave the mop pad until it has cooled down completely, then carefully remove it from the mop head of the appliance.
    • NOTE! Do not install or remove the mop pad while steam is discharged.
  5. Drain any water left in the water reservoir before placing the appliance in the storage area.
  6. Wrap the cable around the upper and lower cable hangers.
  7. Store the appliance in an upright position in a protected, dry area.

Unplug the appliance before cleaning.

  • Use a damp, soft cloth and a mild detergent to clean the exterior of the appliance.
  • DO NOT IMMERSE THE STEAM CLEANER IN THE WATER.
  • When you are wiping the main body, do not allow moisture to seep into the area around the indicator light.
  • Wash non-electrical accessories with warm, soapy water and allow them to dry thoroughly before the next operation.
  • Call the authorized service if the steam cleaner is damaged.

Maintenance of Microfiber Cleaning Pads

Wash the pads in warm water that is not hotter than 40 degrees.

    • Wash the pads separately. Do not use softener. Do not dry in a drum dryer.
    • Dry on hanger.
    • If the threads on the microfiber pad become loose, carefully cut them with scissors.
    • Do not try to pull the threads out or cut them from the bottom.

NOTE! To install functional apparatuses, you shall install the fitting first, and then install the suitable apparatus to this fitting.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Replacement of Hard Water Filter
  • Your steam cleaner is equipped with a hard water filter that needs periodic replacement. You may order these filters from Fakir Authorized Services; we recommend you to use genuine parts supplied by the manufacturer only.
  • If you shall replace the filter after operation of the appliance, switch off the appliance, unplug it and wait 5 minutes for the appliance to cool down before replacing the part. Press the clips on both sides and remove the filter from the appliance. Replace it with a new genuine filter by pressing it until it is secured in its seat.

Safety Warning

DO NOT ATTEMPT this while the appliance is still on or hot. This may cause serious injuries and damage.

Cleaning and Maintenance of the Appliance

  • Removal of Mineral Deposits
  • Mineral and lime deposits that may occur in areas with hard water may limit the performance of your Steam Cleaner.
  • The best way to minimize mineral deposits is to use pure or demineralized water in your Steam Cleaner. Moreover, the following cleaning procedure is recommended to be performed at least once a month to remove any residues.
  • This shall prolong the service life of your Steam Cleaner and allow it to operate at its maximum potential.
  • Unplug your Steam Cleaner and wait 5 minutes for it to cool down.
  • Remove all accessories, then open the lid of the water reservoir and drain the water into the sink. Insert the tip of the cleaning needle into the mouth of the Steam nozzle to remove the mineral deposits.
  • This process may also be applied for cleaning accessories such as mop heads. Use the measuring cup to prepare a mixture of approx. 50 ml of distilled water and 50 ml of vinegar.
  • Slowly pour the water-vinegar mixture into the water reservoir, then close the lid of the water reservoir.
  • Plug the appliance in, bring the steam Control Knob to the HIGH position and spray the entire content of the Water Reservoir into a sink or bathtub.
  • When the Water Reservoir is empty, switch off the appliance and refill the reservoir with 330 ml of distilled water.
  • Bring the Steam Control Knob back to the HIGH position and repeat the process. If you used a water-vinegar solution, you may need to repeat this process until the vinegar smell is removed.
  • Replace the lid of the Water Reservoir, unplug the appliance and place your Steam Cleaner to its regular storage area.

Be careful to avoid contact with water during the descaling process, as this may cause injury or damage.

| 1. The water reservoir may not be full.| 1. Make sure the water reservoir is filled. Refer to the relevant page of the user manual provided.
