PEPE Crutches fitting position X2

The PEPE – ARMPIT CRUTCHES are suitable for users who cannot bear weight through the affected leg. Made of aluminum and non-slip tips, they provide stability and durability. Supplied in pairs.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Height: Adjust height by pressing both push buttons, rotating foot-piece and pulling down until desired user height is obtained. The adjustment makes it easy to change the height of the crutch in 1” increments.
The foot-piece has a circular ring marked to indicate the location of the push button. Rotate the foot-piece again until both push buttons snap into place.

  2. Grip: Adjust the grip to fit it an approximate 10” bend at user elbow. The height of the grip is easily adjusted using a wing nut and its 9 regulations.

  3. Safety check: With the crutches positioned as in the diagram above, confirm that the user can lean forward comfortably while resting on the armpit support. The user should be comfortable when standing. Make sure both push buttons are securely in place and the grip nuts are securely tightened.

Before using, we make sure that:

  • All parts are tight, nothing is loose or uneven, and there are no rattles or cracks in the metal.
  • The user does not suffer from impediments, disabilities or is under the influence of any medication, etc. that the doctor, therapist and / or salesperson considers interferes with the safe use of this product.

During use, we ensure that:

  • Height is adjusted and all parts are adjusted correctly. Keep the wing nut on the grip tight.
  • We do not hold the crutch in case of sudden impact or jolts. If that is the case, we release our hands and put them on the ground.
  • We do not exceed the maximum weight capacity for these crutches, which is 350 lb.
  • We do not exceed the maximum height nor are we below the minimum height.
  • We avoid any safety risk including slippery, uneven or smooth surfaces and objects on the road. Using this crutch does not eliminate the risk of falls.
  • Inspect the ferrule or plug often to verify that it is not damaged or worn.
  • The crutch must be kept in a clean condition.
  • Replace any broken, damaged, or worn parts. Use only manufacturer’s parts. Do not modify the mechanical characteristics of the crutch.
  • Failure to follow the above instructions may result in serious injury.
  • Stairs without handrails are high risk and should be used with the utmost caution.
  • Any serious incident related to the product must be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and patient are established.
  • Keep your crutches clean by using a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning materials.
