BUTTONS

Battery installation (Fig. 2)

Caution:

  • Do not mix new and old batteries. Use alkaline or rechargeable batteries only.
  • Replace the batteries when the symbol flashes permanently in the display.
  • Remove the batteries before any long period of non-use.
  1. Remove the battery compartment lid.
  2. Insert the batteries, making sure the polarity is correct by observing the battery lid indications.
  3. Close the battery compartment lid.

Switching on (Fig. 3)

  • Press the button to switch on the equipment.

Changing the measurement reference (Fig. 3-5)

  • The default measuring reference is the bottom of the meter. (Fig. 3)
  • Press the button to set the top of the meter as the measuring reference. (Fig. 4)
  • Press the button. The laser indication as well as the battery capacity indication will be displayed. (Fig. 5)

Switching off

  • Press and hold the button to switch off the equipment.
  • The laser will be switched off automatically after 30 seconds and the equipment will be powered off after 3 minutes, provided no button is pressed.

Clear button

  • Press the button to clear the last command or displayed data, one type of data at a time.

Measurement

Single-mode measurement (Fig. 6)

  • When the equipment is switched on, press the button to activate the laser, then aim the laser on the target and press again to trigger single-mode measurement.
  • The measurement will be displayed immediately on the screen. (Fig. 6)

Continuous-mode measurement (Fig. 7-8)

  • When the equipment is switched on, press and hold the continuous-mode measurement.
    • MIN: Minimum value.
    • MAX: Maximum value.
  • The current measurement value will be displayed on the screen. (Fig. 8) button to trigger

Functions

Area – Volume – Indirect measurement (Pythagorean theorem) (Fig. 9-11)

  • When the equipment is switched on, press the button to switch measurement functions.
    • Area measurement: Figure 9.
    • Volume measurement: Figure 10.
    • Indirect measurement (Pythagorean theorem): Figure 11.
  • Select the desired measurement function and start measuring. (See table B)

Storage and recall of measurements

  • Storage of measurements: press the button to view the stored measurements.
  • Press the + or – button to switch from one stored measurement to another.
  • Plus and minus functions (Fig. 12-13)
    • When the equipment is in single measurement mode, press +. The meter can calculate the last measurement and the current measurement.
    • Press -. The meter can calculate the last measurement minus the current measurement.

TROUBLESHOOTING

ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool’s plastics components are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove environmentally friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.
