Adjusting the Logger

  1. Step 1: Loosen the black nut on the car bracket to adjust the angle of view of the recorder using the universal ball screw.
  2. Step 2: Check the recording angle through the screen on the main unit side to ensure it covers the front view of the vehicle.

Download and install the APP

  1. Method Ⅰ: Scan the QR code below with your mobile phone to download and install the Botslab APP.
  2. Method Ⅱ: Search and download the Botslab APP from App Store or Google Play, and then install it.

Installation

  1. Install the car mount
    Remove the vehicle mount from the accessory box Align the screw rod of the vehicle-mounted bracket with the card nut of the recorder host.Use the appropriate force and angle to tighten the screw.
    Prompt: After tightening the screws to fix the bracket and the host, please carefully check to ensure that they are securely connected.To prevent the bracket from loosening after installation, affecting the recording quality of the recording equipment

  2. Installing the memory card

  3. Choose a suitable memory card: Please use a genuine Micro SD card with a capacity of 32GB to 256GB. We recommend the Botslab Micro SD card.

  4. Insert the memory card: Make sure the camera is switched off. Locate the icon indicating the direction of memory card insertion, and then push the memory card into the slot in the direction indicated by the icon until you hear a “click” sound from the slot, indicating that the memory card has been inserted correctly.

  5. Remove the memory card: When you need to remove the memory card, please make sure that the camcorder is turned off first. Press gently on the card until you hear a “click” sound, this indicates that the card has been released and can be removed.

  6.  Formatting the memory card: Before using a new memory card, it needs to be formatted. Go to “System” Settings, select Format Memory Card and wait until the system prompts “Formatting Successful”.

  7. Install static cling sticker
    Please install the electrostatic sticker on the front windshield. Refer to the recommended area (within the dashed line frame) in the figure below for the specific location.
    Before installation, make sure the glass surface has been thoroughly wiped clean.
    During the installation process, it is essential to completely eliminate any air bubbles between the electrostatic sticker and the glass. Note: When installing the dashcam, it is recommended to place it at the center position above the front windshield.
    It can help ensure that the camera’s field of view fully covers the line of sight in front of the vehicle.

  8. Paste Recorder
    Tear off the 3M adhesive protective film and stick the recorder bracket to the electrostatic sticker

  9. Wiring and connecting power
    As shown in the figure below, connect the power cord from the top of the windshield, passing through the A-pillar,
    Then, route it through the glove compartment at the co-driver’s position, finally positioning it near the cigarette lighter socket, and connect it to the cigarette lighter power source.
    You can use the installation pry bar provided in the package box to embed the power cord under the sealant strip of the A-pillar. Please note that the position of the cigarette lighter socket may vary depending on the car model, therefore, this image is for reference only.

  10. Adjusting the Logger

  11. Loosen the black nut on the car bracket appropriately so that the universal ball screw can rotate, thus adjusting the angle of view of the recorder.

If you need to fine-tune the recording angle of the recorder during use, it is recommended to rotate it in a clockwise direction.

Sports Camera Mounting

  1. Align the battery compartment Type-C power plug with the logger mainframe power connector.
  2. Press the disassembly buttons on both sides of the battery compartment, when you hear a ‘click’, it means that the recorder main unit is successfully connected to the battery compartment. 3)If you need to remove the recorder host, press the disassembly buttons on both sides of the battery compartment, pull out the host, and you can separate the host from the battery compartment.

Charged maintenance policies of botslab recorder product
If any of the following cases occur, the botslab Company or its authorized service centers will provide reasonable maintenance services at a cost for those outside the scope of the warranty.

  1. Exceeding the valid warranty period.
