Appearance Introduction

Set the Device

Thank you for choosing our products! Please follow the instructions below to set up and use the doorbell device.
1. Download and install the APP
Open App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android outside China ) or Yingyongbao Store (For Android inside China) on your follow the be lowing, Search for “TuyaSmart” or scan QR code as following to download the right App for your phone.tuya -R9 -Smart -Video- Doorbell - fig
4 Set up the APP
Before you begin:

  • Make sure to install Tuya Smart APP on your device.
  •  Make sure your device is connected to the 2.4GHZ WI-Fl network and not compatible with the 5GHZ network.
    User registration New users register it according to guide steps, already registered user just login it.

Add device
Before adding, make sure the device is configured -with voice announcement. If you don’t hear the voice notification, press and hold the Home button for 5 seconds to reset the device. You can release the button after the LED light goes out, power off and restart, the device will automatically restart to default settings.

Open the “Tuya Smart” App and tap “Add Device” Select device type: Video Surveilance – Smart Doorbell , then make connection with the device according to the stepstuya -R9 -Smart -Video- Doorbell - fig 7

Select “Next, the WIFI network name will be automatically filled in, enter the Wifi password and click” to confirm.
Note: If you are connected to the same Wifi, the app will automatically fill in the corresponding password, and you do not need to fill in the password again.tuya -R9 -Smart -Video- Doorbell - fig

When you hear the prompt connecting the network
click Continue”and use camera to scan the OR Code displayed on you phone make sure to keep 15-20cm distance between the mobile device to the doorbell When you hear the prompt”Connecting the network”tap”I heard a Prompr and wait until the device connected successfully. If your camera fails to connect, please try to RESET the camera and repeat all steps again.tuya -R9 -Smart -Video-

Wifi Doorbell Functions
Support following functions Two-wayAudio; Video recording to local file; Take Photo; Playback video when the Micro SD Card plugged. 4.1 Live view In the device list section.it shows all devices with successfully connections.click the corresponding device to view live videos directly

Device Management
Click the corresponding device to view live videos directly in the device list section You could choose” … ” at the top right corner to enter device setting .tuya -R9 -Smart -Video- Doorbell - fig 13

  •  Modify Device Name Click”Device Name” on setting page to rename device
  • Device Sharing Click”Share Device” on setting page to share the device to other family members
  • Device Information Click”Device information” on setting page to check device information.
  • Power Management SettingClick”Power Management Setting” to check power working status or set the low battery alarm threshold. Options:10%-50%
  • Basic Function Setting Click”Basic Function Setting”to set below functions: Flip Screen:on/offfimeWatermark:on/off;Talk Mode:One-WayTalk/Two-Way Talk
  • PIR sensitivity Setting Click”PIR” to set the sensitivity PIR:Low/Medium/High/Off
  • Off:Close PIR function.
  • Low:Wake up and record footage if any motion in front of the camera last for more than 7 seconds been detected.A notification will be sent to mobile devices at the same time.
  • Medium:Wake up and record footage if anymotion in front of the camera last for more than5 seconds been detected.A notification will be sent to mobile devices at the same time.
  • High:Wake up and record footage if any motion in front of the camera last for more than 1 seconds been detected.A notification will be sent to mobile devices at the same time.

Note: In a crowded environment. It is recommended to turn off the device or set it to low sensitivity to reduce unnecessary wake up and notification pushes to extend battery life.

  •  Memory card settings
    Click “Memory Card Settings” to check the Micro SD card status, including total capacity, used and remaining capacity or format the memory card.
    Note for using

  • When a fully charged rechargeable lithium battery is used to power the device, The battery normally can supports 1-3 months usage. When the battery voltage is low, the mobile device APP will send a notification. If you receive a notification, please charge the device in time.
    Place the camera within the range of the router.
    Make sure to choose a place covered by Wifi signal. Even near the router, thick or insulated doors can greatly reduce the strength of the WiFi signal. It is recommended to test before installing the camera.

  • The device is designed based on low-power components and can be remotely awakened from APP through PIR human motion detection or doorbell pressing. After each wake-up, the device will work for 25 seconds and then return to standby.
