Place of installation
A WiFi signal strength test is required to find a place to install the battery-powered camera.

  2. To test the WiFi signal strength, bring the battery-powered camera and your mobile phone to a desirable place for installation.
  3. Place the camera as close as possible to the base. If the WiFi signal strength is weak, move it to a place with a stronger signal for installation.

Installation angle and height:

  1. Hang the battery-powered camera 7 to 10 feet (2 to 3 meters) above the ground without direct sunlight.
  2. When installing the battery-powered camera, the height maximizes the detection range of the battery-powered camera’s motion sensor. It is not recommended to face the motion sensor to the moving object vertically.
Otherwise, the motion event may not be detected. Make sure the included angle between the motion sensor and the measured object is greater than 10 degrees.
