BEFORE FIRST USE
- Unpack the warmer from the foil packaging. To avoid the risk of suffocation, keep the packaging away from the reach of children.
- Wipe the heating chamber of the warmer and the body with a damp cloth, and dry with a towel. Wash the fitting ring and the bottle/jar basket in warm water, using a mild detergent, and rinse with warm water.
FAST HEATING (hot mode)
-
Place the warmer on a flat and stable surface, out from the reach of children, and where it can’t be knocked or moved during use. If you have any doubts, read the warnings at the beginning of the instructions again.
-
Add the appropriate amount of water into the heating chamber, according to the quantities suggested in Table 1.
Important! Use pre-boiled/demineralised water, as it prevents limescale build-up in the heating chamber. The presence of limescale on the heating chamber is not subject to complaint. Information on maintaining the proper functioning of the warmer can be found in the “Descaling” section. -
To measure the exact amount of water, use the measuring cup supplied with the warmer. For measuring a larger amount of water use the measuring cup several times. The amount of water is one of the factors that affects the final temperature of the food, this is why it is very important to measure the water accurately. Many factors influence on heating time and temperature of the food after heating. The main ones are: the starting temperature of the food, its quantity, type, and consistency, the type of material of the container and bottle (glass, plastic) in which the food is heated, and the amount of water used for heating. The indicated amounts of water are approximate. Due to the above factors, it is not possible to give the exact amount of water needed for heating. Optimal amounts of water can be easily determined experimentally. If the food is too hot, then next time add less water to the warmer. If the food is too cold, then the next time add more water to the warmer.
-
Place the bottle(incl. teat, excl. cap)/jar basket(excl. cap) in the warming chamber.
-
Place the bottle prepared for feeding or an open container in the basket. Place the bottle/jar as accurately as possible in the middle of the warmer to ensure even heating.
Note! Make sure that the bottle/container you choose is suitable for boiling according to the manufacturer’s instructions. -
Put a fitting ring onto the warmer’s body to limit the amount of escaping vapour.
-
Plug the warmer into the power socket. All icons on the display will appear and then disappear. This means that the warmer is receiving power.
-
Press the ON button, and the display will show “00”, meaning standby mode. Remember! Never turn on the warmer when there is no water in it.
-
Press the function button three times, selecting the „HOT” mode with the icon. Wait a few seconds and then the warmer will start by itself.
Note! Remember to use the right amount of water. If too much water is added, the food will be heated too long and its temperature may be too high.
Note! Rapid heating of food frozen in glass bottles and jars is NOT recommended. -
Please note that hot vapour is emitted while the warmer is operating. Be especially careful as it can cause severe burns. Avoid contact with the skin.
-
Keep your face and hands at a safe distance and do not place them above the warmer while it is in use. To avoid the possibility of burns, never move or carry the warmer while it is working.
-
After the water evaporates, and the food is heated, the warmer switches off automatically, signalling the end ofthe cycle with a „. To stop the warmer during the cycle, press the button to turn off the warmer, and then disconnect it from the power socket.
-
Always use a cloth when removing the bottles, containers or jars from the warmer to avoid burns. Remove all condensation from the bottle, container or jar carefully.
Note! Do not touch the body or the heating chamber, because they are hot. -
Stir each bottle to mix its contents. Stir food heated in an open container with a spoon. It will ensure an even temperature distribution.
-
Pay extra attention to bottles with removable bottom rings, and make sure all condensation is removed before feeding, to avoid burns!
For the safety of your child, always check the temperature of the food before feeding. Place a small amount of food on the inner part of your wrist – as the skin is delicate and sensitive at this spot. For microbiological and hygiene reasons, milk or food that has already been heated and cooled down should not be reheated. If they have not been used, they should be disposed of. If you intend to use the warmer again, start the procedure from the first step; if you have finished using the warmer, disconnect it from the mains.

FOOD DEFROSTING
In the Difrax warmer, you can easily defrost gradually in a water bath food frozen in storage bags or containers dedicated to food freezing.
- Place the warmer on a flat and stable surface, out from the reach of children, and where it cannot be knocked or moved during use. If you have any doubts, read the warnings at the beginning of the instructions again.

Important!
- DO NOT place electrical appliances or components containing metal inside the warmer due to the risk of damage.
- DO NOT use bleaches or chemical solutions/disinfectant tablets in the warmer or for the products that will be scalded in them.
- Always follow the cleaning instructions for items that will be placed in the appliance.
DESCALING
After some period of use, as a result of the heating process, limescale may
build up on the heating chamber (depending on the water quality). The
limescale should be removed regularly to ensure proper operation of the
warmer. The heating and steaming time is greatly prolonged if a lot of
limescale collects on the heating chamber. Before removing the limescale, the
warmer should be disconnected from the power supply and allowed to cool fully.
To remove the limescale, add 100 ml of warm water and 50 ml of vinegar to the
heating chamber. This solution should be left inside the warmer for up to 30
minutes. Any longer time may cause damage to the product. When the scale
dissolves, pour out the solution and rinse the heating chamber with clean
water.
Note!
- Do not use any commonly available descalers, especially those containing citric acid.
- Never turn the warmer on while removing the limescale.
- Failure to follow the correct descaling instructions can cause irreparable damage to the product.
- The use of mineral drinking water will accelerate the process of limescale deposition in the heating chamber.
- Fill the warmer with boiled/demineralized water, as this prevents limescale build-up on the heating chamber.
- The presence of limescale on the heating chamber is not subject to complaint.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
- Maintenance of the warmer, other than cleaning or limescale removal, is not required.
- After use, do not forget to pour out the water.
- Do not store the warmer filled with water.
- If the warmer is not used, do not put bottles or other objects inside the heating chamber.
- Unplug from the socket when not in use, and always before cleaning.
- Clean the body and the inside of the warmer with a soft cloth or sponge, then dry it with a clean cloth or a paper towel.
- NEVER put the warmer in water or wash it under running water.
- DO NOT place the warmer in the dishwasher.
- For cleaning the warmer use only clean water, to prevent stains from forming.
- Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring agents or any caustic substances or chemicals for cleaning.
- Keep the warmer away from direct sunlight, sharp edges and other hazards.
