Product Usage Instructions

Before You Begin:
Check your local zoning laws and mark your property for electrical, gas, or water lines to avoid any underground utilities.

Installing Post Channel:
Place the U-Channel at the top of the bottom route. Center the U-Channel on the post and secure with #10×3/4 screws. Repeat on all posts.

FAQ:

• How many screws should be used on each U-Channel?
  No more than 3 screws should be used on each U-Channel.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

• Local zoning laws and Home Owners Associations may regulate the location, style and height of your product or even require a permit sign-off before hand.
• Check local codes for frost line depth and/or air conditioner unit regulations if needed.
• You must have the utility companies clearly mark your property for electrical, gas or water lines to avoid puncturing any unseen underground utilities.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

1. Installing Post Channel:
   Place the U-Channel at the top of the bottom route (Fig. 1). Center the U-Channel on the post. Add the first #10x¾” screw 2″ above the route as shown. Add the second and third #10x¾” screws 11″ apart from each other.
   NOTE: Do not use more than 3 screws on each U-Channel.
   There will be a small gap between the top of the U-Channel and the top route (Fig. 2). Repeat steps on all 4 posts. The results of Step 1 will be 2 corner posts (with 2 U-Channels each), 2 end posts.

2. Attach Front Bracket for the Right End Post:
   Take one end post and place a front bracket on the face to the right of the U-Channel. Mark the 3-hole locations (Fig. 3). Pre-drill with a 1/8″ drill bit (not included). Secure the front bracket to the post using three #10×3/4″ screws. The results of Step 2 will be right-hand end post.

3. Attach Front Bracket for the Left End Post:
   Take the remaining end post and place a front bracket on the face to the left of the U-Channel. Mark the 3-hole locations (Fig. 4). Pre-drill with a 1/8″ drill bit (not included). Secure the front bracket to the post using three

   10×3/4″ screws. The results of Step 3 will be left-hand end post.![BARRETTE-

4. Assemble Left Wall:
   Place the 363/8″ bottom rail into the post routes on the left end post and a corner post as shown. Slide the post inserts into the post (Fig. 5). Secure inserts to the bottom rail using two #10×11/2″ screws. Install 5 of the 341/8″ tongue & groove boards into the U-Channel (Fig 6). Make sure they are inserted into the bottom rail. Install the top rail into the routes as shown (Fig 7 ). Secure inserts to the top rail using two #10×11/2″ screws. The results of Step 4 will be a finished left wall section.

5. Assemble Right Wall:
   Place the 36 3/8″ bottom rail into the post routes on the right end post and corner post as shown. Slide the post inserts into the post (Fig 5). Secure inserts to the bottom rail using two #10×11/2″ screws. Install 5 of the 341/8″ infills into the U-Channel (Fig 6). Make sure the infills are inserted into the bottom rail. Install the top rail into the routes as shown (Fig. 7). Secure inserts to the top rail using two #10×11/2″ screws. The results of Step 5 will be a finished right wall section.

6. Assemble Rear Wall:
   Flip the left and right wall assemblies on their sides. Insert the 66″ bottom rail into the bottom routes of the wall assemblies (Fig. 8). Secure the bottom rail with two #10×1½” screws. Install 5 of the 63″ tongue & groove boards into the U-Channel. Make sure the infills are inserted into the bottom rail (Fig. 9). Install the top rail into the top routes. The install is the same as the side walls. Secure the top rail with two #10×1½” screws (Fig 10).

7. Attach Removable Rail/Post Caps:
   Slide the removable rail into the right and left front brackets. Insert the post caps into the top of the 4 posts (Fig. 11).
