Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

It is mandatory to have this module installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.

Mandatory Install:

The hood pin switch must be installed for proper functioning. Set function A11 to OFF if the remote starting with the hood open is not desired.

Wiring Connection:

Refer to the wiring connection guide for proper installation. Ensure all connections are secure and follow the guide provided.

Programming Options:

Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool to add firmware versions and options to the module.

Unit Options:

C1: Push-to-Start
D6: Hybrid mode (Vehicle hybrid only)

Q: Can the OEM remote and SmartKey still be used with their remote start?

A: Yes, the vehicles OEM remote and SmartKey are still operable during remote start.

Q: What should be done if the vehicle can be remote-started with the hood open?

A: The hood pin switch must be installed, and function A11 should be set to OFF to prevent the remote from starting with the hood open.

HOOD PIN HOOD STATUS: THE HOOD PIN SWITCH MUST BE INSTALLED THE VEHICLE CAN BE REMOTE-STARTED WITH THE HOOD OPEN, AND THE SET FUNCTION A11 TO OFF.
- A11 OFF NON-Notice: the installation of safety elements are mandatory. The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.
- THIS MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. A WRONG CONNECTION CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
