Power Supply:

AP-150AH can be powered by DC 12V to 24V or USB Type-C connector
(DC5V/1.5A). Ensure not to connect both simultaneously.

Connecting to PC:

  1. Connect AP-150AH and the PC using a LAN cable.
  2. Connect the power supply cable or USB Type-C cable to
    AP-150AH.

Configuration Using AP-150AH’s Web Page:

Network Setting of PC:

Change the network settings of the PC to communicate with
AP-150AH.

Access to AP-150AH’s Web Page:

  1. Start a web browser on the PC and enter the IP address of
    AP-150AH in the address bar.

  2. Login to the configuration page using the default IP address
    (192.168.20.1) if no DHCP server is present.

  3. Configure necessary settings and submit. Remember to set a
    different IP address for the PC.

  4. Restart AP-150AH for changes to take effect.

Basic Configuration:

  1. Click on settings from the page menu.

  2. Enter required settings on the displayed page and click
    Submit.

  3. To apply changes, restart AP-150AH.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: What should I do if I forget the login password for

AP-150AH?

A: You can reset the device to factory settings by pressing the
reset button for 10 seconds. This will clear any configured
passwords.

Thank you for purchasing the Wi-Fi HaLow Access Point, “AP-150AH”. AP-150AH is a wireless Access Point (host device) that supports IEEE 802.11ah(Wi-Fi HaLowTM). It can be used as a base station that connects the station devices (client devices) that support IEEE 802.11ah. This Setup Guide explains how to configure and use AP-150AH in a wireless network.

AP-150AH can be configured by the following methods:

  1. Configuration Using AP-150AH’s Web Page 2) Configuration Using AMC Manager®
    When you have only one AP-150AH unit, see Configuration Using AP-150AH’s Web Page. When you have multiple AP-150AH units, see Configuration Using AMC Manager® and configure them one by one.

Power Supply
AP-150AH can receive electrical power in the following two ways:
– Power supply (DC 12V to 24V) – USB Type-C connector (DC5V/1.5A)

  • Do not connect a power supply that supports DC12V to 24V while receiving a power from the USB Type-C connector. It may cause unintended operation or malfunction.
  • When there is no power supply that supports DC12V to 24V, prepare the power supply that supports a USB port, and connect it to the USB Type-C power connector of AP-150AH.
  • To connect to this connector, please use JST PAP-03V-S. * The pin arrangement for the DC connector of AP-150AH is as follows.

Connecting to PC 1 Connect AP-150AH and the PC using a LAN cable (1). 2 Connect the power supply cable or USB Type-C cable to AP-150AH (2).

Configuration Using AP-150AH’s Web Page

  • Connect AP-150AH and the PC using a LAN cable for configuration.

Network Setting of PC

Access to AP-150AH’s Web Page

1 Change the network setting of the PC to allow communication
with AP-150AH. Example of the network setting)

2 Start a Web browser (Microsoft Edge, etc.) on the PC.
Enter the IP address of AP-150AH to the address bar and press the Enter key.

When there is not a DHCP server in your environment, the default IP address of AP-150AH will be “192.168.20.1”. Then, configure the network setting of the PC as follows.
IP address: 192.168.20.21 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

3 The login password configuration page appears, enter the
password to configure for AP-150AH and click Submit.

4 The login page is displayed.
Enter the login password you have configured and click Login.

  • For the IP address to be configured to the PC, set a different IP address from AP-150AH.
    5 The Web page of AP-150AH is displayed.

  • The login password configuration page is displayed only when AP-150AH has the factory default settings. Once configured, it will not be displayed again.
    Basic Configuration 6 Click the setting from the page menu (1), enter the necessary settings at the displayed page (2) and click Submit (3).

7 To take effect of the changes, restart AP-150AH.
Click Restart from the page menu.

Configuration Using AMC Manager®

  • Configure AP-150AH one by one by connecting it to the PC using a LAN cable

Start AMC Manager®
1 Download AMC Manager® from the Silex Technology’s website and install it to the PC.
Click Start – silex Tools – AMC Manager. The AMC Manager® will be started.

Create Configuration File
2 Create a configuration file using the template.
Click the icon Create the configuration file ( ) and click Create from Template from the toolbar (1). In the Select Template window, select the AP- 150AH and click OK (2).

3 In the Create Configuration File window, check the check box of the items you want to
use for the configuration file, edit the settings and click Save. In the dialog to save the configuration file, specify the file name and click Save.

Connecting to PC / Network Setting

4 Refer to Connecting to PC and Network Setting of PC on the back page to connect the
device and configure the network setting of the PC.

For the IP address of the PC, set the one that can communicate with the IP address of AP-150AH.

Setting example)
Sample address to set for AP-150AH 192.168.20.10 172.25.50.10

Sample address to set for PC 192.168.20.100 172.25.50.100

  • In the following instructions, AMC Manager® Free will be used as an example. * Although this document uses AMC Manager® Free for explanation, the configuration methods will
    basically be the same even if you are using AMC Manager® which requires a separate license key.

  • When AP-150AH is used for the first time, the login password needs to be set.

  • This procedure is for configuring the IP address on the wired LAN side. The IP address of wireless LAN side is set to “10.0.0.1” by default. If an IP address of the same network segment as the IP address of wireless LAN is set (e.g. “10.0.0.2”), communication will not be established, so please avoid using such an IP address.

Basic Configuration
5 Select the AP-150AH unit to configure from the device list of AMC
Manager®, and click the icon Configure multiple devices in bulk ( ). For bulk configuration, the configuration file is used to send the settings to the devices.

6 In the Bulk Configuration window, select the AP-150AH unit to
configure from the Configuration List (1) and click the Select Config. File button (2). When a file selection dialog appears, select the configuration file that you have created and click Open.

7 The selected file is displayed at Configuration File Name.
Click IP Configuration for the IP address configuration. When you are using the DHCP server to automatically configure the IP address, skip this and go on to 10 .

8 In the IP Address Configuration window, specify the range of IP
address to configure for AP-150AH, and click OK.

9 The IP address is pre-assigned to AP-150AH and is displayed under
New IP Address.

10 Check the check box of the AP-150AH unit to configure (1) and click
Configure Now (2).

11 The configuration performs and the result is displayed.
Click Close.

12 When there are more AP-150AH units to configure, repeat the process
of 4 to 11 and configure them one by one.

How to Download AMC Manager®

The configuration has now been completed.

AMC Manager® can be downloaded from the Silex Technology’s website. Access the URL below to download it.

1 When the website is displayed, click Support Center in the bottom of
the page.

5 Download AMC Manager®.

2 Click Software Download.

3 In the Software Download page, click AMC Manager®.

4 Enter the necessary information to the download form and click
Download. (If the download form is not displayed, just click Download.)

Factory Default Configuration
Follow the instruction below to reset AP-150AH to the factory default setting.
1 While AP-150AH is operating, press and hold the push switch for more than 5 seconds.
When the LED1/LED2/LED3 start blinking green together, release the push switch. The settings will be reset to the factory defaults and AP-150AH will be restarted.
