Design category D “sheltered waters”: Designed for voyages in sheltered coastal waters, small bays, small lakes, rivers, and canals when conditions up to and including wind force 4 and significant wave heights up to and including 0.3m can be experienced, with occasional waves of 0.5m maximum height, for example from passing vessels.
Safety instructions
The product is a water sport equipment item that is certified and safe. We nevertheless urge you to adhere to the following rules and regulations:
Danger to life!
- Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Risk of suffocation.
- Never let children play with the product without supervision.
Risk of injury!
Beware of offshore winds!
Beware of offshore currents!
- Make sure that people and cargo are always distributed evenly in the dinghy to avoid the risk of capsizing.
- Pay attention to the information on the nameplate, the permissible load capacity and number of people, as well as the warning instructions.
- Always comply with local navigation regulations.
- Do not bring any sharp or pointed objects with you.
- The product should be protected against contact with any questionable liquids such as acids. These can cause irreparable damage.
- Protect the product from excessive heat and fire! Be careful with lit cigarettes!
- To avoid damage to the hull, make sure that the dinghy does not run onto rocky ground.
- Should damage occur to one of the three air chambers when you are on the water, do not under any circumstances abandon the product. The buoyancy of the two intact air chambers will be sufficient to keep the product safely above water.
- Under no circumstances may the product be transported by vehicle when inflated.
- Never leave the product in the water unoccupied. It will drift away faster than it can be reached by swimming.
- Always make sure that you have the paddles with you before using, since you cannot otherwise manoeuvre the product properly.
- Do not make any technical modifications to the product. Modifications of any kind put operation of the product at risk.
- Never use the product under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
- Never overestimate your strength and when paddling conserve the strength in your muscles in such a way that you can easily paddle back again over the distance you have covered. Stay in sheltered shore areas within 300m and beware of changing winds and currents that may make it significantly harder for you to navigate.
WARNING!
Your caution and self-awareness when on the water are extremely important.
Never overestimate your strength and navigational skills! Always stay close to
shore! Be aware of what the weather conditions are and pay attention to storm
warnings or any flares!
WARNING!
Please always comply with the safety regulations and the current local
provisions for lakes and open bodies of water, and for your own safety always
wear a certified life jacket.
WARNING!
Avoid using sunscreen and skin care products containing alcohol. Sunscreen
and skin care products containing alcohol can cause the colour coating of this
PVC inflatable product to peel. This can lead to stains on your body, your
clothing, and other objects that come into contact.
WARNING!
If someone falls overboard they should always climb back on board via the
bow or the stern because there is a high risk of capsizing when trying to
board from the sides.
Avoiding material damage!
- All inflatable products are susceptible to cold. For this reason never unfold and inflate the product at a temperature lower than 15 °C!
- In the event that the air pressure increases in the hot sun, it must be balanced accordingly by letting out air.
- Make sure that the product, especially when inflated, does not come into contact with stones, gravel, or sharp objects and does not rub or scrape against anything as this can cause damage to the plastic foil.
- Use only the correct pump adapters to insert into the safety valves. The valves might otherwise be damaged.
- Do not over-inflate because you then risk tearing open the welded seams. Close the valves properly after inflating.
- Avoid contact with sharp-edged, hot, pointed or dangerous objects.
Assembly
Follow the individual assembly steps in the order indicated. If the correct sequence for inflating the three air chambers is not followed the pressure may be distributed unevenly. This can cause the product to become unstable and affect its handling characteristics.
- Assembly should always be performed by two adults because of the product’s size.
- Select a smooth and clean surface with enough space to unpack the product. Check that all individual parts are present and in good order and condition.
- Take the product out of the carrying bag (10).
- When assembling the product for the second and subsequent times, you should inspect for any possible damage, holes, and tears and these should be sealed as described in the section “Repairs”. Once you are on the water it is no longer possible to remedy any damage.
- Do not over-inflate the air chambers so as not to over-stretch the plastic foil.
Inflation
WARNING!
-
Follow the correct sequence when inflating the air chambers.
-
The recommended operating pressure is 0.25bar (= 250mbar = 3.62psi).
-
Inflate the air chambers to the nominal pressure indicated on the product to avoid over-inflating and bursting.
-
Use the pressure gauge on the air pump (6) to check the air pressure.
-
Avoid inflating the air chambers too much because there is the risk of over-stretching the welded seams or even tearing them open.
-
Do not use a compressor or compressed air bottle to inflate the product.
This can lead to damage to the product. -
Always inflate all air chambers fully.
-
Slide the seats (3) into the mountings provided (1a) (fig. F).
-
Flip the lever on the air pump (6) over to alternate between double-action and single-action (Fig. B).
Inflation sequence
Inflate the air chambers in the following sequence:
- Safety chamber with screw-on valve 1
- Safety chamber with screw-on valve 2
- Floor chamber with screw-on valve 3
Note: The air chambers are marked with the corresponding numbers on the product (1 – 3) (fig. E).
Filling the air chambers (figs. B-C)
IMPORTANT!
The PVC material expands somewhat after the product is inflated for the first
time and does not return to its original condition. Remember that the
specifications may vary slightly depending on the load and outside
temperature.
-
Screw the thread of the nut (7a) on the tube (7) onto the thread (6a) of the air pump (6) (fig. B).
Note: Be sure to screw the tube onto the thread marked “INF”. -
Unscrew the valve cover (1b) from the valve (1c) by turning anticlockwise (fig. C).
-
Insert the tube end (7b) onto the valve and screw it down tight (fig. C).
-
Inflate the air chambers in the sequence indicated.
Note: The valve pin (1d) of the air chamber being inflated must be in the closed position in order to inflate (fig. D). Press down the open valve pin and turn it 90° in any direction until it stays in its position.
As you do this, the valve pin of the other two air chambers must stay in the open position (fig. C).
Turn the closed valve pin 90°. The valve pin moves into the open position. -
Stop inflating as soon as the recommended operating pressure has been reached.
-
After inflating, move the valve stem into the open position.
-
Unscrew the end of the tube from the valve by turning anticlockwise and place the valve cover on the valve.
-
Tighten the valve cover by turning clockwise.
Accessories
Assembling the paddles (figs. F-H)
Note: When the dinghy is in use on the water, the paddles must remain on
the oarlocks (1f) so that they do not get lost (fig. F)!
- Connect the two paddle tubes (2). As you do so, the locking button (2a) must snap in both audibly and visibly (fig. G).
- Slide the paddle (2) onto the oarlock (1f) and secure the paddle by firmly tightening the lock (1j) (fig. H).
- Repeat the procedure for the second paddle on the other side of the dinghy.

Leaks
Use only appropriate adhesives to repair leaks on the product. An adhesive is
included in delivery.
Repairs made with unsuitable adhesives can lead to further damage!
You can obtain suitable adhesives from a specialist retailer.
Note: You can also repair small areas (< 2mm) with just the adhesive by
applying the adhesive directly to the area. For larger areas (> 2mm) proceed
as follows:
- Let the air out of the product completely.
- Clean the area for repair thoroughly.
- Dry the cleaned area.
- Take one of the patches and trim a piece that covers the damaged area and overlaps by 1.5cm on all sides.
- Apply the adhesive both to the area of the leak and also to the patch you have cut out. Let the adhesive dry for approx. 2-4 minutes.
- Press the patch down firmly on the leak area with a soft object. Be sure to work on an even surface without wrinkles or folds. Gently remove any air bubbles with a rounded object, working from the inside towards the outside.
- Allow the patch to dry for at least 12 hours after repair.
- When dry, apply adhesive to the edges of the patch.
- Let the adhesive dry for approx. 4 hours.
Important: After repairing, check that the repaired area is waterproof before entering the water with the product. When there is very serious damage, do not perform repairs yourself under any circumstances. Take the product to a specialist workshop for repair.
