Characteristics & functions
System
The system supports up to two outdoor stations, one CCTV camera for each
outdoor station and three indoor stations per family, for a maximum of four
families (creating multifamily systems requires the use of the bus
distributor, which is available individually or supplied in the two-family
kits).
The video entryphones in a system may be all of the same type or of different
types:
- Video entryphone in version with touch sensitive keys, available in kits K42910, K42911, K42912, K42930, K42931, K42932
- Video entryphone in touch-screen version, available in kits K42915, K42916, K42917, K42935, K42936, K42937 and

Notes:
- The minimum cable length between two video entryphones must be 5m.
- Multi-plug power supply unit: two forks are present, the red one should be connected to the 24V terminal and the black one to the GND terminal of the video entryphone.
- In systems comprising two outdoor stations, if communication between an outdoor station and the video entryphone is already under way, in the case of a call from the other outdoor station, a busy signal (sequence of beeps) will indicate the need to wait for the system to be free.
- When making the system connection, we advise against leaving terminations disconnected from the video door entry devices: every cable run without a termination could lead to interference.

CCTV Camera Connection
CCTV camera connection (optional)
- The Vimar 46CAM.136B.8 camera can be connected to the CCTV and GND terminals of the outdoor station.
- Maximum length: 100 m with SYV75-3/RG59 cable.
Indoor Station Installation
- We recommend you make an initial device configuration before connecting it to the system bus.
- For the system to function correctly, each device must have its own unique address (ID).
- The device ID and apartment ID can be checked by powering the individual indoor station before connecting it to the video door entry system.
- Please also note that the video entryphones included in the one-family and two-family kits are preconfigured as Master units, whereas the optional video entryphones are preconfigured as Extension 1.
- Once you have completed the previous steps, you can install and connect the devices to the apartment bus.
- For a one-family system, the apartment bus can be connected directly to the outdoor station; in the case of multi-family systems (up to max 4 apartments) the apartment bus will have to be connected to the bus distributor and the bus distributor to the main outdoor station.
- Once you have installed the Video entryphone, configure using icon [GENERAL] the CAM1, CAM2, CCTV1 and CCTV2 devices which can be consulted using icon .
Operation
Main screen
- In standby mode, touching any part of the display will bring up the screen showing the device’s main functions.
- Scrolling down on the arrow shown on the main screen accesses the mute and auto record settings.
- Scrolling horizontally access the device settings.

Self-start function
- By pressing the [Camera] icon icon on the main screen, the camera will activate and the video entryphone will display the image from the speech unit.
Operation: Entrance panel call
- When a visitor presses the call button on the entrance panel, an image of the visitor is displayed on the video entryphone screen and communication with the speech unit can be activated/deactivated by pressing the [Communication] icon .

Intercom function
- Press the [Intercom] icon on the main screen, select the indoor unit you want to call, then press the [Communication] icon to start the call.
Multimedia – Archiving images and videos
- Provided that a micro SD card is inserted, the video entryphone can record images and videos. Without a micro SD card, the monitor can only capture images.
- Maximum capacity with micro SD card: micro SD card: 1000 images and 128 videos
- Video entryphone internal memory: 100 images
- When the memory is full, the oldest pictures or videos will be overwritten.
Viewing images and videos
Press the [Photo] icon or [Video] icon on the main screen to review stored images and videos. In the photo and video list, a red dot indicates that images/videos have not yet been displayed.

Should the camera monitor public areas, it will be necessary to display – in a visible manner – the information about the ‘area under video surveillance’ envisaged in the privacy policy and specified on the website of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante). The recordings may be stored for the maximum period of time envisaged by legal and/or regulatory provisions in the place where the camera has been installed. If the regulations in force in the country of installation envisage a maximum storage period for the image recordings, the user shall ensure they are deleted in compliance with the applicable regulations.
In addition, the user must guarantee safe possession of and control over its passwords and the related access codes to its web resources. The Data Subject must provide the password for access to its system when requesting help from the Vimar Support Centre, so that the related support can be provided. Provision of the password represents consent for processing. Each Data Subject is responsible for changing the password for access to its system on completion of the work carried out by the Vimar Support Centre.’
Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with the current regulations regarding the installation of electrical equipment in the country where the products are installed.
