INSTALLATION INSTRUCVTION
Safety information
Life-threatening hazard! Beware of offshore wind and currents.
- Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
- Never allow children to play with the product unsupervised.
Risk of injury!
- Ensure that the weight (people and load) is always evenly distributed in the kayak to avoid the risk of capsizing.
- Pay attention to the maximum permissible carrying capacity, and number of persons as well as the safety warning detailed on the rating plate.
- Always comply with the local maritime navigation rules.
- Do not take any sharp or pointed objects with you.
- The kayak should be protected from contact with potentially unsafe liquids or acids. These could cause irreparable damage.
- Protect the kayak from heat and fire! Be careful with lit cigarettes!
- To avoid damage to the hull, take care to ensure that the kayak does not come ashore on stony ground.
- Do not leave the kayak, under any circumstances, if damage should occur to one of the three internal chambers during use on the water. The buoyancy of the remaining two chambers will be sufficient to keep the kayak afloat.
- Do not, under any circumstances, transport the kayak on a vehicle while it is still inflated.
- Never leave your kayak unoccupied on the water. It will be carried away too fast for a swimmer to be able to reach it.
- Before using the kayak, always make sure that you have the paddles with you, otherwise you will not have sufficient control over the kayak.
- Do not make any technical alterations to your kayak. Modifications of any kind will impair the operability of the sports equipment.
- Never use your kayak under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
- Never overestimate your strength; always pace yourself when paddling so that you can easily retrace the distance you have covered.
Stay within shoreline safety zones of up to 300m and pay attention to changing winds and currents that can severely hamper your ability to move forward.
WARNING!
It is extremely important that you exercise caution and self-awareness when on
the water.
Never overestimate your strength and board-handling skills! Always stay close
to the shore! Pay attention to the weather conditions, storm warnings and any
light signals or flares!
Base chamber and side chamber with screw-on valve
-
Unscrew the sealing cap (10a) from the base (10b) anticlockwise (Fig. E).
-
Inflate the base chamber 1 and the side chambers 2 and 3 using the appropriate air pump and pump attachment (Fig. F).
Note: check the pressure by putting the pressure gauge (4b) on the end of the tube (4).
Note: the value shown on the pressure gauge serves only as a reference. The pressure gauge should not be used as a precision instrument. -
Screw the sealing cap (10a) on the screw-on valve clockwise to close it.
Seat
- Unscrew the sealing cap (8a) from the base (8b) anticlockwise (Fig. G).
- Pump up the seat with the air pump (3) and corresponding pump attachment.
- Screw the sealing cap (8a) clockwise to close it.
Regulating the operating pressure
IMPORTANT!
The PVC material will stretch slightly after initial inflation of the product,
and will not revert to its original state.
Please be aware that the required pressures may vary slightly depending on the
load and outdoor temperature. Check the operating pressure regularly by
connecting the air pump (3) to the screw-on valve (10) and reading the value
on the pressure gauge (4b).
Attaching accessories Attaching the seats (Fig. H)
- Attach the seat (8) with the underside to the hook and loop fastener strips (1d) on the bottom of the kayak (1).
- Fasten the seat in the eyelets (1c) on the side chambers 2 and 3 using the straps (8d).
Note: the position of the seats is variable along the centre line of the kayak and can be adjusted accordingly. The arrows indicate the direction in which the person must look. The eyelets are arranged so that the backrest can be easily fastened with the straps.
Note: adjust the length of the fastening strap by pulling a piece of the strap out of the slider and pulling the strap on the other side of the slider (Fig. H).
Note: the castor (1j) at the bow serves as a footrest.
Dismantling the kayak
- Find a clean, flat surface for dismantling the product.
- Remove the seat (8) and the fins (7).
Deflating
Deflate the kayak (1) and the seat (8) as follows:
Unscrew the screw-on valves (10b/8b) from the threaded opening (10c/8c)
without opening the sealing cap (10a/8a) and allow the air to escape
completely from the air chambers (1f)/ the seat (Fig. F)/(Fig. G)
The Recycling Code distinguishes different materials to be returned for recycling. The Code consists of the recycling symbol for the recycling process and a number that identifies the material.
