Product Usage Instructions

Preparation

  1. Charge the device.
  2. Insert label paper roll.

Operation
Ensure the device is charged and the label paper roll is correctly inserted before proceeding.

  1. Press the power button to turn on/off the device (Button 1).
  2. Monitor the LED display (2) for battery status indications.
  3. Adjust the sliding switch (5) towards the paper tray (4) after printing.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following:

  • Issue: LED display (2) shows red light.
    Cause: Paper shortage. Solution: Replace with a new label paper roll.

  • Issue: LED display (2) shows red light.
    Cause: Cover (3a) not properly closed. Solution: Ensure the cover is securely closed. If needed, perform a hard reboot by holding the power button (1).

  • Issue: No paper coming out during printing.
    Cause: Incorrect placement of label paper roll (7). Solution: Re-insert the label paper roll correctly.

  • Issue: Weak battery.
    Cause: Battery needs charging. Solution: Charge the device.

  • Issue: Print quality issues.
    Cause: Head contamination. Solution: Clean the print head as per maintenance instructions.

Maintenance and Care
Prior to disposal, remove the batteries or battery pack from the product.

We recommend using the designated refill rolls (IAN) 469080_2310 for the product. The use of other manufacturer’s rolls of label paper is also permitted, provided they have the correct specifications in terms of their properties and dimensions. This could, however, lead to small differences in the print result. Refer to the instructions included with the refill set for all further information on scope and use. All safety notices in these instructions for use also apply to the refill set (IAN) 469080_2310.

  • Do not use the product if it has been dropped or is damaged. Have the product inspected and if necessary repaired by a qualified professional.

  • Do not allow moisture to come in contact with electrical parts.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries

  • DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
  • DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result. Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water. Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.
  • Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight. If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
  • WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
  • This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Preparation

We recommend fully charging the product before using it for the first time.

Charging
Use the USB-C cable 8 supplied to connect the product directly to a power source (e.g. a laptop), or use a 5V USB power adapter (not included) to connect to the mains power supply. The charging time is roughly between 80 and 120 minutes. You can print during the charging process.

Inserting roll of label paper

  • Open the product by flipping open the cover 3a (see Fig. A).
  • Place a roll of label paper 7 into the product (see Fig. B).
  • Close the cover 3a so that a little of the label paper emerges from the paper feed 4 (see Fig. C).

Use

  • LED flashes red: flat battery/low battery
  • LED lights up in red: battery is being charged up/ paper shortage/overheating/ open cover
  • LED lights up in green: battery is fully charged/ product is in use
  • LED lights up in blue: Bluetooth connection is established
  • You can download the app by scanning the corresponding QR code.
  • Switch on the product via the ON/OFF button 1 and activate Bluetooth on your device.
  • Move the slide switch 5 away from the paper feed 4 to open it (see Fig. D).
  • Press the ON/OFF button 1 twice and the product prints out a QR code.
  • Open the app and click on “Not connected”. Click “Scan to insert”, then scan the QR code to connect your device to the product.
  • NOTE : Do not search for the product in your device’s Bluetooth settings.
  • After initial coupling, the product connects to your device automatically.
    • Follow the instructions in the app when printing.
    • If you want to cut off a printed label from the roll of label paper 7 then push the slide switch 5 towards the paper feed 4 after printing is complete.

Cleaning and care

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS!

  • Before cleaning, unplug the USB-C cable 8 and wait until the product has cooled down.
  • Do not clean the product with corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Dust the product with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Tough dirt can be wiped off with a slightly damp cloth.

Disposal of the rechargeable battery
As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return all batteries/rechargeable batteries to a local collection site, regardless if they contain harmful substances, to ensure environmentally-friendly disposal. Faulty or drained batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to a collection site.

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product. To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose of them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Faulty or used batteries/accumulators must be recycled. Return the batteries/accumulators and the product to the available collection points. Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries! Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

This product has a three-year warranty from the date of purchase. In the event of defects, you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Our warranty outlined below does not limit these legal claims.

Warranty terms
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase.Please keep the original receipt in a safe location. This receipt serves as your proof of purchase. Should this device show any material or manufacturing defects within three years from the date of purchase, we will at our discretion repair or replace the product free of charge to you, or refund the purchase price. For this warranty claim to be honored, the defective device and proof of purchase (receipt) must be presented within the three-year warranty period along with a brief description of the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our warranty, you will receive the repaired product or a replacement. However, a product repair or replacement does not restart the original warranty period. The warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not extended by compensation for damage. This also applies to replaced or repaired parts. Any damage or defect that existed at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking the product. Repairs after the warranty has expired will be billed.

Scope of warranty
The device was carefully manufactured according to strict quality guidelines and carefully inspected prior to delivery. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. It does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and is therefore considered worn items, or damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, batteries or glass parts. Accidental damage, improper use or improper product maintenance will void the warranty. To ensure proper product use, observe all instructions in the instructions for use. Uses and actions which the instructions for use advise or warn against must be avoided without fail. This product is only intended for private, non-commercial use. Any misuse, use of force or actions not carried out by our authorized regional service center will void the warranty.

  • The item number can be found in the identification label on the product, the engraving on the product, the title page of your instructions for use (bottom left) or the decal at the back or bottom of the product.?
