Before first use

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.

  2. Check whether the filter holder 17 and the HEPA filter 16 are firmly installed in the dirt container 18. They may have worked loose during transport.
To insert the filter holder 17 and the HEPA filter 16 into the dirt container 18, proceed as follows:

    • The filter holder u can only be fitted in the dirt container 18 in one position. The side labeled “UP” must be facing upwards. Push the filter holder u as far as possible into the dirt container i. Make sure that the filter holder 17 is straight and that the rubber lip seals the dirt container 18.
    • Insert the HEPA filter z into the filter holder u so that the catches on the HEPA filter 14 fit into the corresponding recesses on the filter holder u. The arrow on the HEPA filter 14 must be aligned with the arrow on the filter holder u. Turn the HEPA filter 16 clockwise towards the symbol.
  3. Place the dirt container18 on the motor unit 14:

    • First, place the contacts on the underside of the dirt container 18 onto the contact pins on the underside of the motor unit 14. This pushes the two catches on the motor unit r into the recesses of the dirt container 18.
    • Press the upper side of the dirt container 18 against the upper side of the motor unit 14 so that the catch audibly engages. The dirt container 18 is now firmly seated on motor unit 14.

Information about the batteries

  • The appliance runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Before using the appliance for the first time, the batteries must be charged. The charge indicator lamp 12 flashes red during charging. As soon as the batteries are fully charged, the charge indicator lamp 12 lights up green.
  • If the charge indicator lamp 12 flashes alternately green and red, the battery is almost completely discharged and the appliance switches off after approx. 1 minute. This protects the appliance from deep discharge.
Installation of the wall bracket

DANGER:  ELECTRIC SHOCK!

  • Ensure that there are no power cables or water pipes in the wall at the location where you intend to drill the holes for the wall bracket 7.
  • Drilling into a current-carrying electric cable can be potentially fatal!
  1. Select a suitable installation location for the wall bracket 7: It must be possible to remove the handheld vacuum cleaner easily and there must be a mains power socket nearby. In addition, there should be no power or water lines in the wall.
  2. Drill two holes below each other at a distance of approx. 110 mm from each other. The drill holes must be suitable for 6 mm wall plugs.
  3. Push in the wall plugs and screw in the screws so that the heads protrude a few millimeters.
  4. Hang the wall bracket 7 with the drill holes over the two screws and ensure that the screws slide into the slots. The wall bracket 7 should lie flush against the wall. You can adjust the distance to the wall and compensate for any unevenness in the wall by screwing in or unscrewing the screws.
  5. Ensure that the power cable is not trapped and that it lies properly in the cut-out.
  6. Push the two accessories holders 8 into the respective catches on the left and right of the wall bracket 7. You can place the nozzles in the accessories holders 8.
  7. Place the barrel plug 9 of the power adapter 0 into the wall bracket 7 from below. Secure the barrel plug 9 by turning it.
  8. Plug the mains adapter 10 into a power socket.
Charging

NOTE: Check to ensure that the On/Off switch 11 has been pushed back (to the position “OFF”) before starting the charging process.

  • Hang the appliance into the wall bracket 7 from above. The catches on the wall bracket 7 should slide into the recesses on the motor unit r and the barrel plug 9 into the socket on the lower end of the motor unit r. The charge indicator lamp w flashes red and the charging process begins.
  • When charging is complete, which can take around 5 to 5.5 hours with fully discharged batteries, the charge indicator lamp w lights up green. The appliance automatically switches to trickle charging. Nevertheless, in order to avoid possible damage to the batteries, do not leave the appliance permanently connected to the mains adapter 10.
  • Recharge the batteries again if the appliance’s suction power becomes appreciably weaker and the charge indicator lamp w flashes green.

NOTE

  • If the charge indicator lamp 12 flashes alternately green and red, the battery is almost completely discharged and the appliance switches off after approx. 1 minute. This protects the appliance from deep discharge.
  • The appliance can also be charged directly via the mains adapter 10. To do this, remove the barrel plug 9 from wall holder 7 with a slight twist and insert it into the socket on the appliance.
  • The appliance cannot be operated during charging.

Operation

ATTENTION

  • The suction opening must always be open and may not be blocked. Blockages lead to overheating and damage to the motor.
  • Use the wet-suction nozzle 5 only at level I (low/wet suction ).

NOTES

  • Make certain that the HEPA filter 16 is inserted before using the appliance.
  • When vacuuming liquid, do not exceed the MAX marking in the dirt container 18.
  • If the motorized brush attachment 6 is blocked so that the brush can no longer turn, the charge indicator lamp 12 flashes red after approx. 15 seconds of the blockage, the working light 15 goes out and the appliance stops vacuuming. If this happens, remove the blockage as described in the section “Cleaning the brush attachment”. Slide the On/Off switch 11 to the “OFF” position. To restart the appliance, slide the On/Off switch 11 to position I or II.
  1. Remove the appliance from the wall bracket 7 or, if you are not using the wall bracket 7, remove the barrel plug 9 from the socket.
  2. If required, place the appropriate nozzle in the suction opening. See the section “Using accessories”.
  3. To switch the appliance on, slide the On/Off switch 11 forwards into position I (= low power/wet suction ) or position II (= high power). The charge indicator lamp w lights up yellow at the level I, and green at level II. The working light t lights up.
  4. To switch the appliance off, place the On/Off switch 11 back to the “OFF” position. All lamps go out.

NOTE: After you have vacuumed up liquids, clean the dirt container 18 immediately. Otherwise, bacteria or mold will build up inside! Ensure that the HEPA filter 16 is completely dry before using the appliance again.

NOTE ON VACUUMING UP LIQUIDS
  • If you have vacuumed liquids, always carry the appliance with the wet suction nozzle 5 pointing downwards:
  • If you carry the appliance horizontally or with the wet-suction nozzle 5 pointing upwards, it is possible that liquid can leak out:

NOTE:  Place the appliance in the wall bracket 7 and start the charging process once the vacuum power has become noticeably weaker and the charge indicator lamp 12 flashes green.
