Product Usage Instructions

PART I: REMOVE TAIL LIGHTS

Installation Tools:

  • 8mm and 7mm sockets
  • Metal Panel Popper
  • Power Tool
  • 1/4 Ratchet and Extension

Step 1: Remove the Bolts

  1. Open the vehicle’s liftgate and locate two 8mm bolts on each side of the tail lights.
  2. Use a panel popper to remove the plastic caps covering the bolts.
  3. Remove the 2 X 8mm bolts on each side.

Step 2: Remove the Tail Lights

  1. Carefully pull the tail light assembly outward to remove it.
  2. Turn the socket cap to detach the tail light’s light bulbs.

Step 3: Transfer the Tail Light Brackets

  1. Position the tail light assembly on a table.
  2. Remove and transfer the tail light brackets to the new ALPHAREX tail light assembly.
  3. Secure the brackets with 2 X 7mm bolts on each side.

PART II: INSTALL ALPHAREX TAIL LIGHTS

Step 1: Install the Tail Lights

  1. Remove the turn signal bulb from the tail light socket.
  2. Attach the reverse light sockets by twisting them into place.
  3. Connect the turn signal socket following wire color indications (black to black, red to purple).
  4. Secure all caps tightly to prevent dust or moisture buildup.
  5. Connect the brake light socket to the tail light assembly.
  6. Mount the new ALPHAREX tail light onto the vehicle by reversing the removal process.

REMOVE TAIL LIGHTS

INSTALLATION TOOLS: PREPARE THESE TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION

  • STEP 1. REMOVE THE BOLTS
    Whenever working on your vehicle, always make sure your vehicle is OFF and parked. To start, open the vehicle’s liftgate, and you’ll find two 8mm bolts on each side of the tail lights concealed by plastic caps. Use a panel popper to remove these caps. Remove the 2 X 8mm bolts on each side.

  • STEP 2. REMOVE THE TAIL LIGHTS
    Carefully pull the tail light assembly outward towards you to remove it from its position. Detach the tail light’s light bulbs by turning the socket cap and then pulling it out. Remove the brake light sockets.
    Follow the same procedure for the opposite side of the tail light.

  • STEP 3. TRANSFER THE TAIL LIGHT BRACKETS
    Position the tail light assembly on the table, then proceed to transfer the tail light brackets and install them onto the new ALPHAREX tail light assembly for both tail lights. Remove the 2 X 7mm bolts. Install the bracket to the new ALPHAREX tail light assembly. Secure the bracket to the new ALPHAREX tail light assembly by tightening the 2 X 7mm bolts. Follow the same steps for the other side of the tail light assembly.

INSTALL ALPHAREX TAIL LIGHTS

  • STEP 1. INSTALL THE TAIL LIGHTS
    To start, take out the turn signal bulb from the tail light socket. Next, attach the tail light’s reverse light sockets by twisting the cap to secure them in place. Ensure all the caps are securely and tightly fastened to prevent dust or moisture buildup! Connect the turn signal socket.
    DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE! The correct way to make the connection is by ensuring the black wire is connected to black (-) and the red wire is connected to purple (+).
    DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE! Twist the cap to secure it in place. Connect the brake light socket to the tail light assembly Mount the new ALPHAREX tail light onto the vehicle by reversing the removal process. Follow the same steps for the other side of the tail light.

  • STEP 2. COMPLETE INSTALLATION
