Product Information

The ALPHAREX headlights are aftermarket automotive performance lighting designed and produced by ALPHAREX. They feature a superior and uniquely stylish design with innovative technology. The headlights are specifically designed for the 2007-2013 Toyota Tundra and 2008-2017 Toyota Sequoia models. There are three different series available:

  • NOVA-Series LED Headlights
  • LUXX-Series LED Headlights
  • PRO-Series Halogen Headlights

Product Usage Instructions

Part I: Remove Headlights

  1. Prepare the following tools for installation: 10mm Metal Panel Popper, Flat and Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, 1/4 Ratchet, 1/4 Extension Socket.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting any work on the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front grille by opening the hood and removing the 4 push pins.
  4. Pull out the bottom trim piece to remove it.
  5. Remove the 10mm bolts holding the headlights in place.
  6. Disconnect the turn signal bulb and side marker plugs while removing the headlights.
  7. For the side marker bulb, remove it from the old headlight and connect it to the new side marker connection.
  8. If your model has a sequential turn signal, follow additional steps to transfer the turn signal bulb and socket.

Part II: Install Headlights & Wiring

  1. Install the ALPHAREX headlights and DRL harness, if applicable. Plug in all connections, including the DRL wire if using the optional harness
  2. If installing the optional DRL harness, connect the red wire from the harness (short end to driver side, long end to passenger side). Tap the grey wire into your IGN fuse to enable DRL functionality during the day.

PART I REMOVE HEADLIGHTS

INSTALLATION TOOLS
PREPARE THESE TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION

NOTE : Whenever using a power tool, please make sure not to overtighten the screws.

  1. STEP 1. DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
    Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.

  2. STEP 2. FRONT GRILLE REMOVAL
    Open the hood and remove 4 push pins which retain the front grille. Remove the bottom trim piece by pulling outwards

  3. STEP 3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
    Remove 10mm bolts holding the headlight in place and ready for removal. Please follow the same procedure for the other side

  4. STEP 4. DISCONNECT THE TURN SIGNAL & SIDE MARKER BULBS
    While removing the headlights, disconnect the turn signal bulb and side marker plugs. Please follow the same procedure for the other side

  5. STEP 5. SIDE MARKER BULB CONNECTIONS
    Remove the side marker bulb and connect it to the new side marker connection.

  6. STEP 6. TRANSFER TURN SIGNAL BULB AND SOCKET
    Transfer the turn signal bulb and socket to the new headlights

(For the model with a Sequential turn signal, please refer to the following additional steps)

  • Remove both side markers and turn the single socket
  • Remove all stickers that cover the headlight opening
  • Insert the 2 wire pin into the side marker socket,re-install the socket back onto the headlight
  • Install the turn signal socket onto the headlight, plug the grey color plug into the socket, locate the black plug, and connect that to the turn signal wire from the truck.

PART II INSTALL HEADLIGHTS & WIRING

  • STEP 1. INSTALL ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS & DRL HARNESS
    Plug in all connections including the DRL wire if you are installing the optional harness.

  • STEP 2. TAP THE FUSE & INSTALLING OPTIONAL DRL HARNESS

    • If you are planning to install the optional DRL harness, connect the red wire from the DRL harness (short end to driver side, long end to passenger side). For more information about wiring the DRL harness, please read our article about
    • How to wire the DRL harness?
      For the DRL to function during the day, you will need to tap the grey wire into your IGN fuse.
  • STEP 3. ADJUST HEADLIGHTS LEVEL
    Once all light bulb plugs and wires are connected to the new headlights, install your new ALPHAREX headlights to the vehicle. Secure all bolts and reverse the uninstall process to complete installation. Next, aim the headlights at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface for headlight level adjustment.
