Installation Guide for 2009-14 FORD F150 Headlights

PART I REMOVE HEADLIGHTS

PREPARE THESE TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION

STEP 1. DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Whenever working on your vehicle, always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.

STEP 2. REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE COVER

Begin by extracting the two push pins securing the protective cover.

STEP 3. REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT BOLTS

To disassemble the headlight, first, unscrew three 10mm bolts, two located at the top and one positioned in the middle. Repeat the identical steps for the opposite side.

STEP 4. REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS

Gently pull the headlight assembly outward to disengage it from your truck. Repeat the same step for the opposite side.

STEP 5. REMOVE THE PLUGS AND TURN SIGNAL SOCKET

Unplug all the designated connectors and detach the side marker and turn signal socket.

STEP 6. TRANSFER THE SOCKETS TO THE NEW HEADLIGHTS

Take out the side marker bulb from each side of the headlight, then connect it to the new ALPHAREX headlight side marker connection.

Connect one end of the turn signal split connection to the new headlight turn signal socket. Repeat the same procedure for the other headlight.

After transferring the sockets to the new ALPHAREX headlights, the assembly should now resemble this configuration.

PART II INSTALL HEADLIGHTS **

STEP 1. TAP THE FUSE AND ROUTE THE WIRE HARNESS

Installation of the provided DRL harness is REQUIRED for achieving the intended functionality of the daytime running lights (DR L s) and Alph a rex’s signature activation sequence.

FOR PRO-SERIES: It is essential to tap the fuse and install both the DRL and the Low/High Beam wire harnesses.

FOR LUXX and NOVA-SERIES: You only need to tap the fuse and install the DRL wire harness.

FOR PRO-SERIES | LUXX-SERIES | NOVA-SERIES OWNERS

Start the installation by securing the DRL wire harness. Begin by grounding the black wire to the negative battery terminal. Subsequently, connect the red wire to the positive battery terminal.

Locate the fuse box and open its cover to gain access for tapping into the fuse.

Identify Fuse #76, remove it, and proceed to tap into the fuse box.

Once the fuse box cover is closed, route the DRL harness wire towards the driver side of the headlight location.

FOR PRO-SERIES OWNERS ONLY

To install the Low/High Beam wire harness, start by grounding the black wire to the negative battery terminal. Then, connect the red wire to the positive battery terminal.

After connecting the wire harness to the battery, guide it towards the driver’s side of the headlight location.

Once you’ve successfully routed the necessary wire harness(es), you are now ready to proceed with the installation of the new ALPHAREX headlights.

STEP 2. PLUG THE HEADLIGHTS

Begin the installation by connecting all the light sockets into the headlight assembly.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!

Ensure that all the sockets are firmly and securely connected to the new headlights before proceeding with the installation into the vehicle. Repeat the same process for the other side of the headlight.
