GLOBAL GS1735 Popcorn Popper
Introduction
- Please read instructions before using this appliance.
- When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury.
- Clean machine thoroughly before and after each use following the cleaning instructions provided below.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Warning! All power must be disconnected at power source before any service procedure is performed.
- This appliance must be placed on a level surface.
- Do not leave this appliance unattended while it is in use.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not operate the kettle while it is empty.
- Do not attempt to repair or replace the power cord if it is damaged. Contact a qualified service agent.
- Be careful not to touch any hot surfaces. Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with any hot surfaces.
Electrical Requirements
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
Do not remove ground prong.
DO not use and adapter.
Do not use and extension cord.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire or electrical
shock.
Refer to the product tag (serial plate) on the back of the unit for voltage
and wattage requirements. Be sure to plug unit into grounded outlet with
sufficient power.
WARNING: DURING NORMAL OPERATION, THE EXTERIOR OF THE UNIT IS HOT!
Preparation
- Remove all packing pieces and lift unit out of the box.
- Remove any outside packaging.
- Set unit on a flat, stable, solid surface and position it away from any water source.
- Position the unit near a power outlet. Avoid the use of extension cords. Do not run cord under carpeting or cover with runners or the like. Plug the unit into a grounded outlet with correct voltage and sufficient power capacity.
Operation
- Plug cord into grounded electrical outlet of the correct voltage.
- Turn on the “HEAT” and “TURN” switches. This will turn on the kettle heat and stirrer motor. Allow the kettle to pre-heat for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Measure out the appropriate amount of popping corn, seasoning, and oil.
- Dump the oil in the kettle first. Allow the oil to heat for approximately 1 to 2 minutes before adding the popping corn and seasoning.
- Once the corn has stopped popping, dump the kettle, ensuring all the corn is emptied from the kettle.
- When corn is not being popped the “HEAT” and “TURN” switches should be turned to the off position.
- To keep the popped corn warm and add lighting to the case, ensure that the “WARMING LIGHT” switch is in the on position.
BURN HAZARD
****Allow equipment to cool before moving or cleaning to avoid injury or burns.
Cleaning
NOTE: Proper maintenance plays an important part in the life span and functioning of the warmer.
- Always unplug the popper when not in use or when cleaning.
- Ensure to disconnect the power supply from the kettle.
- Do not immerse the popper in water and avoid getting water in the top of the case.
- Clean the popper with a mild detergent and warm water making sure to remove as much of the salt and oil as possible. Be sure to clean the inside and outside surfaces of the kettle. Allow the popper to completely dry.
- Dump and clean the kernel catch pan.
REPAIR
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Disconnect electric power supplies before servicing or cleaning.
To avoid serious injury or damage, do not repair the induction cooker or replace a damaged power cord yourself. Repairs must be coordinated through: Global Solutions customer service at 1-800-782-6761.
