Introduction
Tile makes it easier to manage your belongings. Fix the Tile Mate to commonplace items like keys, bags, or backpacks. Use our app to locate them for free. Application is the control strategy. Added Bonus: Bluetooth. When your Tile is within Bluetooth range, you can use the Tile app to ring it or ask your Smart Home device to locate it for you. To see your Tile’s most recent location on a map while out of Bluetooth range, download the Tile app. Even when your phone is on mute, you may still make it ring by pressing the Tile button twice. Use the Tile Network’s safe and private assistance to find your items.
When someone scans the QR code on your lost Tile, you can be contacted if your Tile is located. If your Tile is lost, add your contact information. On iOS and Android devices, use the free Tile app to locate your belongings. Also compatible with Siri, Hey Google, and Amazon Alexa is Tile. Water-Resistant (IP67 rated) (IP67 rated), non-replaceable battery lasting up to three years Up to 76 meters/250 feet of Bluetooth range. FIND FAR AWAY
When outside of Bluetooth range, use the Tile app to view your Tile’s most recent location on a map.
HOW TO FIND PHONE
Double press the logo button on your Tile to make your phone ring, even when it’s on silent. On Tile Sticker, the button is on the side.
LOST AND FOUND
If your Tile is lost, add your contact information so you can be reached when someone scans the QR code on your lost Tile.
HOW TO USE TILE APP
- Get the Tile App now.
- Click “Get Started” when the app is open.
- Your email address should be used as the username.
- Set up a password (at least 7 characters long).
- Visit your email inbox and adhere to the directions provided there to confirm the email. (If an email isn’t visible, check your spam box.)
- Return to the Tile App and log in after the confirmation.
- The Tile App’s instructions should be followed (regarding Bluetooth and location).
HOW TO LINK TILE TO THE APP
- Add a Tile: To add a Tile, click the + button.
- Firmly press the Tile logo till a sound is produced.
- Do as the app instructs and place the Tile next to the device.
- You should name your Tile (Keys, Laptop, Bike, etc.)
- Turn on your Tile.
- everything is now in reach.
HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT
- Uninstall the app
- Reinstall the app again,
- Restart the phone where the app is installed.
Then it should work.
ALSO NOTE: that the issue is ( if it occurs) often connected to the phone where the Bluetooth connection might be broken or so.

What is the distance that it could track? can it track my suitcase if flying overseas ?
Bluetooth range. I am sure their web site would answer. However, the tile just activates a phone app, it doesn’t ring itself. You probably need a different device.
Would these work in a multilevel building to tell you which floor they’re on? Can the device differentiate between different floors?
There are opensource projects using an RTL-SDR dongle (software defined radio) that can 3-dimensionally track stationary Bluetooth devices. It would be simple addition to their Tile app to just have the user move the phone a couple of inches four times in 1-2 second intervals to old-school triangulate the source but alas, money-pinching executives and lazy product development teams in China don’t often think outside the box.
So if the battery dies in 3 months are you just screwed? ‘Up to 3 years’ is a horrible way to advertise their product.
Our Tiles are covered with a one-year warranty. If the Tile (that has a 3-year battery) stops working because of the battery we will be happy to replace it after performing the troubleshooting steps.
How many decibels
I don’t know. It’s not super loud. But loud enough I can hear it.

There is a tile specifically made for wallet. The other ones would be too thick for a wallet.

I’ve had mine less than four weeks.
Can this be left in checked luggage?
I have used it that way.
Can I connect this in two different devices?
Yes. Wife and I have tiles on 3 sets of keys. And each have both phones loaded on our apps. So we can find each other’s keys or phone.
Do you have to buy the starter pack before you buy any of these?
No. The starter pack is just a convenient collection of tiles to start with. You can buy any individual tile and it will work without problem.
Do they come packaged separately?
It looks like the Tile package you’re interested in purchasing is a 2-pack. This does not come separately. If you would like separate packaging, you can purchase 2 single 1-pack Tile Mate (2022).
Can I track my kids even if they are miles away?
No. This is a short range device to find keys and such.
Does it work with an E bike?
You can definitely use Tile with your E-Bike! Visit the Tile app website and search for ‘How Tile Works” to learn more.
Would this work if my kids had one and got separated from us in a theme park?
I don’t think it would be much help. you would have to be close enough to hear it chime above the crowd noise.
