Product Usage Instructions
Power Supply
The RMD 035DAB requires a 12VDC power supply to function properly. Ensure
to connect the power supply as per the specified voltage for optimal
performance.
Speaker Connection
Connect speakers with an impedance of 4-8 Ohm to the device for clear audio

Standard Operation
Power On/Off ] button (2) to turn the device on or off.
Playback Mode
Press the [ ] button (2) to switch between FM radio, USB/SD (only if inserted
into the device) , AUX, Bluetooth and DAB+
Audio Settings
- Turn the [VOL] knob (3) to adjust the volume.
- By briefly pressing the [VOL] button (3), you open the menu. Press the button again one or more times to navigate to the next setting. The settings appear in this order: Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Equalizer, Loudness*. (followed by other functions which will be explained later) To change a setting, turn the [VOL] knob (3) and confirm the choice by pressing this button. After about 5 seconds of inactivity, this menu will automatically close and return to playback mode.
Important note
- The EQ option has four sound effects: FLAT, CLASS, ROCK and POP, and the BASS and TRE options have operation options only when EQ is OFF.
- Since the LOUD and other sound enhancement function is to compensate for the low-frequency signal at a small volume, the sound effect is only to be used at a small volume
Clock func on
- Long press the [ | button (20) to display the time.
- Set the time: When in the time display, long press the button (20) to enter the clock adjustment setting and select the value with the knob. At the same time, hold down this button to switch the hour/minute, and hold down it to exit the setting after adjustment, or stop the operation for 5 seconds to automatically confirm the time and exit the setting.
- Time system selection: In the startup state, press the [VOL] knob (3) to enter CLOCK 24/12 option; The default is 24 hours, 12 hours can be selected by adjusting the volume knob.
- The clock will automatically be set when RDS signal is received.
Mobile phone charging
When the device is powered on, plug in the USB charging port to charge it.
FM RADIO operation:
Searching for Stations
In radio mode, you can automatically search for the next station by briefly
pressing the button (5). Manually search for a station by pressing these
buttons for a longer duration.
Saving Stations in Memory
To save a selected radio station in memory, press and hold one of the numbers
1 through 6 (buttons 12-17) on the radio. The chosen number will then appear
on the right side of the display, indicating that the station is stored in
memory. Pressing the same number in radio mode will activate this station
again. The button (18) switches the FM preset band from F1 to F3. In each
band, you can store 6 preset stations, allowing a total of 18 stations to be
stored. Long press the [BNo] button (18) to automatically save preset
stations. In this mode, 6 stations will be programmed automatically in all 3
frequency bands. Note: This will erase all previously saved stations! When the
automatic search is complete, all stations are viewed and played once by
interval.
Function operation
By briefly pressing the [VOL] button (3), you open the menu. Press the button
again one or more times to navigate to the next setting. The settings appear
in this order: Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Equalizer, Loudness, DX/LOC,
Stereo/Mono, Clock 24/12, Area.
- DX/LOC option; The default is DX (radio remote reception), and the volume knob can be adjusted to select LOC (radio short-range reception), which means that only stations with strong signals are received.
- STEREO/MONO option; The default is STEREO (radio stereo), and the volume knob can be adjusted to choose MONO (radio forced Mono) function.
- AREA: EUR/USA (Radio European/Radio American), the default is EUR mode, indicating that the receiving frequency range is from 87.5MHZ to 108.0MHZ, and the step jump is 0.05MHZ. After ARER EUR/USA is operated, the existing radio station is cleared automatically. You must store the radio station again.
RDS operation
Long press the [VOL] button (3) to open RDS menu. Press the button again one
or more times to navigate to the next setting. The settings appear in this
order: AF, TA, TA Volume, REG, EON and PTY. Turn the [VOL] knob (3) to change
a setting. Confirm by short press on the [VOL] knob (3). 5 seconds without
activity will close the menu.
- AF function: System default is “AF OFF”. If ON, the radio will then (for AF-enabled RDS stations) automatically search for the alternative frequency if you go outside the coverage area of that frequency. In this setup, the radio will not find any ordinary radio stations.
- TA function: Select to enable or disable the function of receiving and playing traffic information.
- TA volume selection function: press and hold down the” TAVOL” option, and then adjust the volume knob to set the volume of traffic message playing. The adjusted traffic message sound is independent and has nothing to do with the general volume. After setting, it only reacts when a traffic message is received and played.
- REG function: Select to turn on or off the region selection function for AF radio reception.
- EON function: Select whether to turn on or off the function to insert other traffic station information when the traffic station is currently playing.
- PTY function: Select different types of programs, and the radio will automatically try to tune in to a station with this indication.
DAB+ operation
Fully automatic search and storage station
In DAB+ mode, long press the button (18) to enter the automatic search and
store function, the system will automatically search the DAB+ band once, and
the searched stations will be stored in sequence in the preset keys 1-6: each
band can store 6 stations, and the three DAB+ bands can store a total of 18
stations, more than 18 stations will not be stored.
Manually store stations in memory
In DAB+ mode, semi-automatic search and manual search functions are not
supported. If you want to store the radio station, you can find the
corresponding radio station by short pressing the buttons. Then long press any
key of the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 for two seconds. After two seconds, the
radio frequency currently played will be stored under the number button.
Listen to the radio
In DAB+ mode, press any button of the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to receive the
stored station. Short press the [BND*] button (18) to cycle between the three
bands of DAB,DAB2,DAB3.
Note: DAB+ radio reception depends on the correct installation of the DAB+ antenna and can be influenced by weather conditions!|
USB/SD Operation
Insert the USB/SD card into the USB/SD reader. The device will automatically start playing the music. USB input cozas is for music playback.
Playback Control
- Press the button (17) to start or pause playback.
- Press the button (5), to go to the previous or next track. By pressing and holding these buttons, you can fast forward or rewind.
- Press the [ 2/INT ] button(16) for interval. Each track will play for 10 seconds and automatically goes to the next track. Press again to exit this function.
- Press the [ 3/RPT ] button (15) to repeat the track. Press again to exit this function.
- Press the [4/RDM] button (14) to play the music randomly. Press it again to play the music in sequence.
- Press the [ 5/-10] button (13) or [ 6/+ 10 ] button (12) to skip 10 tracks backward or forward.
- Long press the [5/-10 ] button (13) or [ 6/+ 10] button (12) to select a folder.
Quick selection of music play
During the music playing process, hold down the [BN&| button(18)to enter the
shortcut song selection function, adjust the volume knob to select the track
number” 0-9″, press button to select digits, ten, hundreds, thousands, and
press the volume knob (3) to confirm the track and play. If the number of
selected tracks exceeds the number of valid tracks, the operation is
considered invalid.
Auxiliary audio playback operation:
Connect the audio playback device (such as mobile phonesiPod, MP3 players)
with the “AUX” input and then short press the button (2) to switch to AUX
playback mode, so that the auxiliary device’s sound can be played out through
the host.
Note: The volume of the auxiliary device should be properly turned up to avoid the influence of too small sound and the volume output of the host is abnormal.
Bluetooth Operation
Pairing
Use the button (2) to go to Bluetooth mode. The letters “BT” will show on the.
Activate your phone’s Bluetooth function and search for available devices.
Select “CALIBER_RMD035DAB” and enter the password “0000” (if applicable). If
the connection is successful, “LINKED” will appear on the screen. The next
time, the connection will be made automatically.
Make phone calls using
Bluetooth Use the button (2) to go to Bluetooth mode.
- Long press the button (5) on the panel to redial the last phone number, or dial the number of the mobile phone to make a call.
- Answer an incoming call by pressing the button (5).
- When you want to change the sound, press the [BN®”] button (18) long and short to switch between the phone and the radio.
- Press the button (1)to hang up the call, or reject an incoming call.
Bluetooth music operation
- Open the music player of the mobile phone and click to play.
- Press the button(17) to play or pause the music.
- press the to skip to the next or previous track.
Voice assistant operation:
In the startup state, first pair the phone Bluetooth with the radio. Then
short press the [ 1 button(4) to activate the voice assistant function of the
phone, at this time you can issue operation commands.
Note: The phone “Voice assistant” function must be turned on to operate the phone.

Product cleaning.
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe
stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance
of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.
Temperature.
Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is between +45°C (+113°F) and 0°C
(+32°F) before turning your unit on.
Maintenance
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer or the nearest Caliber Europe BV Service Station for servicing
Old appliances and/or batteries must not be disposed with garbage! If the
device/battery can not be used anymore, every user is legally obliged to
dispose of old appliances and/or batteries separated from the garbage, e.g. at
a collection point of his municipality/district.
