IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

Read the operating instructions completely before use. If the Livington Black Doubletta is passed on to third parties, so must these operating instructions.
The appliance is intended for domestic use only.
The appliance is only suited to the preparation of food. Do not use the appliance for unintended purposes.
Check the cooking system for any visible external damage prior to use. Never use the pan if damaged.
This cooking system may be used by children 8 years of age or above, or by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, only if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the pan, and can understand the potential hazards arising from use. Children should not play with the cooking system. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
Never leave the cooking system unattended during use.
Clean both cooking modules with mild detergent and warm water before first use.
Never touch hot surfaces with your bare hand.
The Livington Black Doubletta generates heat – splashing can occur during use. Use the associated glass lid or take appropriate precautions to avoid the risk of burns, fire and other personal injury or damage to property.
The lid can become hot and hot air can escape through the steam valve – this can pose a risk of injury. If the cooking module is not placed correctly on the hob, the handle can become hot – this poses a risk of injury.
If hot oil or fat ever ignites, switch off the cooker before taking suitable fire-fighting measures. Never pour cold water into the pan while it is still hot.
Ensure that the pan has cooled completely before cleaning.
NEVER cool the glass lid with cold water, as the temperature shock can damage it.

Attaching the handle to the glass lid (only included with the Deluxe set) – Fig. 2:
Attach the handle to the glass lid using a screwdriver. Make sure that you do not use too much force, otherwise you may damage the glass lid. If the handle loosens over time, re-tighten the screw using a screwdriver.

Deep-frying basket insert (only included with the Deluxe set) – Fig. 3:
The handle of the frying basket insert can be removed by gently squeezing it out of the holding device and unclamping from the lower bracket.

WORKING WITH THE LIVINGTON BLACK DOUBLETTA
Your Livington Black Doubletta is suitable for all stove types.
Frying and cooking: Your Livington Black Doubletta has 2 different pan surfaces. A grill surface (grill pan) with grill strips for searing meat or fish, and a cooking and a smooth pan surface (roasting pan) for roasting vegetables, eggs etc.

Slightly warm up the Livington Black Doubletta cooking module and add fat (according to taste). The cooking system is also ideal for „fat-free“ cooking and frying.
Select the required cooking temperature. Once the fat is evenly spread, an optimal cooking temperature (approx. 180°C) has been reached.
Introduce the food to be fried or cooked to the respective side, and reduce the temperature.
Initially, the grilled/fried food (e.g. meat) will stick, and will then loosen itself after a few seconds; only after this can you stir the food in the Doubletta cooking system and finish cooking on a low setting.

Tips:

For even better cooking results, add a few drops of cooking oil to the Doubletta cooking module once slightly heated, and rub in the oil with a paper towel.
When preparing your food, use the „covered cooking process“ as often as possible, i.e. close the cooking module! This will save time and energy!

Fry: Use the included frying basket insert to fry your food. Use sufficient fat as required (this depends on the food).

Care & cleaning tips

Always allow the cooking module to cool down completely before cleaning.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning cloths or steel wool for cleaning. These may damage the coating.
Prevent food residues from drying on! This makes cleaning easier!
If any cooking residue becomes encrusted: soak in hot water for a period of time, and clean using a gentle detergent.
Dry the cooking module immediately, so that no limescale develops.
To ensure the longevity of the coating, we recommend that you use kitchen aids made of wood or plastic.
All parts of your Livington Black Doubletta are also dishwasher safe.

Note: We advise that you remove the sealing ring during cleaning, as fat and food residues can accumulate beneath it. After cleaning, we recommend that you first pull the sealing ring over the entire pan, in order to tension it. Then gradually pull it over the edge of the pan until it sits firmly and securely all around.
