Safety Instructions
This is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children. Wash with warm water and a mild detergent before first use. Read the instructions carefully. Sharpening knives: Place the board upright, with the grey side of the board facing you, in order to avoid damage to the product and to ensure functionality. Check the board has a firm footing. Place the end of the blade in the knife sharpener and pull the blade through to the tip in a single backward motion. Only pull the blade in one direction, do not push it back and forth – the risk of damage. There must be contact between the blade and the sharpener. No fingers or other body parts should be positioned behind the knife sharpener. Wipe the knife and sharpener after use.
Note: This is only suitable for steel knives, and not for ceramic knives.
Defrosting (grooved black side):
Do not leave food unattended while defrosting. Once thawed, cook immediately
or refrigerate. Do not leave thawed food at room temperature. To avoid cross-
contamination, wash the cool board after use before using the cutting board,
and do not mix ingredients while defrosting. Wash the board after each use.
Never cut food on the black grooved thawing side! The grey side is not
suitable for defrosting!
Cleaning
We recommend cleaning by hand with warm water and mild detergent. Do not use any abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. Alternatively, you can also clean the product in the dishwasher.
