Kit Includes
The kit includes: digital clamp meter, test leads, carry bag, user manual, and warranty.
Getting started
Open the battery compartment cover (11) and insert 2 AAA batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.
Usage
Use the knob switch (4) to turn the device on and to select the required operation mode:
- OFF – off position;
- 200 A~/20A~/2A~ – AC measurement (within a specified range);
- – AC voltage measurement;
- – DC voltage measurement;
- – resistance measurement;
- – continuity test, diode test.
Press the FUNC button (5) to switch between the functions. When the device is
off, press and hold (5) for 3 seconds to enable/disable the auto-off option,
and then observe the corresponding symbol on the screen. When the auto-off
option is enabled, the device will automatically turn off in 15 minutes.
Press the MAX button (6) to switch to maximum values. Press and hold (6) for 3
seconds to exit this function.
Press the H/ button (7) to hold the display readings (H appears on the
screen). Press and hold (7) for 3 seconds to turn the backlight on/off.
AC measurement
Turn the knob switch (4) to the 200 A~, 20A~, or 2A~ position according to the current measurement limit. Press the trigger (2) to open the clamps (1) and fully enclose the conductor to be measured. Then slowly release the trigger (2). In order to ensure the measurement accuracy, the measured conductor must be placed in the center of the clamps. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (8).
If the measurement result is >3A, the orange backlight will turn on.
For the following measurements using test leads, turn the knob switch (4) to the appropriate position. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (10).
AC/DC voltage measurement
- Turn the knob switch (4) to the (AC voltage) or (DC voltage) position. Connect the probes to the measuring points. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (8).
If the measurement result is >80V, the orange backlight will turn on.
Resistance measurement
- Turn the knob switch (4) to the position. Connect the probes to the resistance measuring points of circuit or resistor. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (8).
Before measurement, make sure that the power supply is disconnected and the capacitor in the circuit is completely discharged.
Continuity test
- Turn the knob switch (4) to the position. Press the FUNC button (5) until symbol appears on the screen. Connect the probes to the circuit or component to be tested. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (8).
If the resistance is <30Ω, an acoustic signal will be emitted continuously and the LED indicator (3) will light up.
Diode test
Turn the knob switch (4) to the position. Press the FUNC button (5) until symbol appears on the screen. Connect the black test probe to the cathode side and the red test probe to the anode side of the diode to be measured. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (8).
If the polarity of the test probes is reverse to the diode polarity, the OL (Overload) will appear on the screen. This can be used for distinguishing the anode and cathode side of a diode.
