Know the countertop manufacturer’s requirements for preparing and installing equipment into the countertop prior to starting installation. Countertop materials require specific preparation. Refer to the countertop manufacturer for instructions regarding the proper installation of equipment into the material.
Know the NSF standards for respiratory protection that apply to your installation. The standards can be found on the NSF website.

Place the assembled respirator on the mounting surface.
Make sure the breather supports are parallel and square and the glass panels work smoothly
Mark the locations of the mounting holes.
Move the breather to reveal signs of vents.
Drill the holes.
Route the electrical wires through the panel before attaching the respirator.
Attach the breath guard using the appropriate hardware for the countertop surface and type of mounting.

Mark and drill the mounting holes

Mark the locations of the mounting holes.
Fasten the supports securely to the counter, making sure they are square and parallel.

Place one gasket on top of each upright.
Place the top glass panel on top of the supports. Alignment of holes.
Place one gasket on each hole in the top glass.
Place a plastic sleeve over each of the thumb screws and install them through each gasket and through the top glass. Tighten the thumb screws to secure the top glass.

Install the long-sided glass

Turn the adjustment mechanism so that the supports are pointing up, parallel to the counter and locked in place.
Attach the glass panel(s)
- Place one gasket onto the standoff.
- Place the glass panel on top of the gaskets. Align the holes.
- Place one gasket over each hole in the glass panel.
- Install one thumbscrew through each gasket and through the glass panel. Tighten the thumbscrews to secure the panel.
If possible, repeat the steps for the other side.

Check the installation.
The glass panel must rotate smoothly and without interference.

Gently lift up to open the glass panel.
Press the release button.
Lower the glass panel. Note: The glass panel rotates 90° down from its original position. You may need to press the release button repeatedly to lower the panel.Rotate the glass panel to its full range.
Press the adjustment button and lower the glass panel. It rotates 90° from its previous position and then locks into place.
Press the adjustment button and lower the glass panel along all positions.
If the adjustable panel is binding, replace and retighten the end frame nuts and bolts or thumbscrews.

Install the last glass panels

Place one gasket on each glass panel stand.
Place the glass against the gaskets and supports.
Place the gasket on the end glass.
Install one thumbscrew through the gasket and the glass panel. Fasten to secure the end glass.
1. Install the remaining three gaskets and thumb screws.
Repeat these steps for the last glass on the other side.

If there is any interference when the long-side glass is rotated, double-check to make sure the uprights are parallel and square.
Loosen and adjust the glass panels as needed.
Then retest the glass rotation.
When the glass rotates freely, tighten all thumbscrews.
