Ermenrich Zing AL45 Battery Tester

The Ermenrich Zing AL45 Battery Tester is a device designed to test 12V batteries only. It should not be used on a group of batteries connected in series. The device has a power button, SEL button (Select), OK button, UP button, and DOWN button.

Usage

Connect the device to the battery terminals. Press SEL to move to the next digit to change it. Press OK to start the battery testing. If a warning sign ( The display shows the resistance of the battery in m and the actual tested CCA value. The following are the display information:

  • 40 to 60% – The battery is old; consider replacing it.
  • 60 to 80% – The battery is in working condition.
  • 80 to 100% – The battery is in good condition.

Care and Maintenance

Ermenrich Zing AL45 Battery Tester

Please carefully read the safety instructions and the user manual before using this product. Keep away from children. Use the device only as specified in the user manual.
Note!
This device is designed for testing 12V batteries only. Do not use it on a group of batteries connected in series.

Usage

  • Turn the ignition and all of the accessories off half an hour before testing the battery. Remove any dirt and grease from the battery terminals.
  • Put the clamps on the battery terminals according to their corresponding polarity: the red clamp goes on the positive (+) terminal and the black clamp goes on the negative (–) one.
  • Press the power button to turn the device on. The numbers on the screen will start flashing and a beeping sound will be emitted.
  • Press OK to enter the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) value indicated on the battery. Press UP or DOWN to change the digit, and then press SEL to move to the next digit to change it. Press OK to start the battery testing.
  • Press any button to silence the beeping sound. Press the power button to turn the device off.
  • When the low battery icon ( ) appears on the screen, please recharge the battery and carry out the testing once again.

Display information

  • When the battery testing is done, the first row of digits will show the voltage of the battery and the second row of digits will show the resistance of the battery in mΩ.
  • Press SEL to change the display view. Now, the first row of digits will show the CCA value that you entered. The second row of digits will show the actual tested CCA value.
  • The battery capacity graph shows the percentage of the battery’s working capacity

Care and maintenance
Only use the device within the permitted range. Do not use the device if it is not working properly. Protect the device from sudden impact and excessive mechanical force. Store the device in a dry cool place. Please note that the parameters of the power supply must comply with the technical characteristics of the device. Do not smoke, cause sparks, or strike matches near the battery when testing. Do not come in contact with a leaking battery. If battery acid comes into contact with your skin or clothing, wash it off immediately with soap and water. If acid comes into contact with your eyes, flush immediately with copious cold water for at least ten minutes and get medical attention as soon as possible. Keep away from children.
