Measurement

Voltage measurement

  1. Insert the black wire into the COM input (9) and insert the red wire into the VΩ input (10).
  2. Touch the testing points using the black test probe and the red test probe (11) correspondingly. Ensure the firm contact of the test probes with the testing points.
  3. If the voltage is greater than 0.6V (AC or DC), the multimeter will compare the AC and DC components of the voltage and will select a greater value, and then it will automatically select the required measurement range (6V / 60V / 600V / 1000V). The measurement result will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Disconnect the test probes from the tested circuit after the measurement completion

Measurement range                                         Accuracy Resolution

DC/AC 6V|

±(0.5%+3)

| 0.001V
DC/AC 60V| 0.01V
DC/AC 600V| 0.1V
DC 1000V / AC 750V| ±(0.8%+10)| 1V

Resistance measurement

  1. De-energize the closed loop under test and discharge the capacitors. Otherwise, if the voltage in the loop is greater than 0.6V, the multimeter will mistakenly enter the voltage measurement mode.
  2. Insert the black wire into the COM input (9); insert the red wire into the VΩ input (10).
  3. Touch the testing points using the black test probe and the red test probe (11). Ensure the firm contact of the test probes with the testing points.
  4. Then the multimeter will automatically select the required measurement range (600Ω / 6kΩ / 60kΩ / 600kΩ / 6MΩ / 60MΩ). Then the measurement result will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Disconnect the test probes from the tested circuit after the measurement completion.

! To perform an accurate measurement of low resistance, subtract the internal resistance of the test probes from the obtained measurement result value (touch the red test probe with the black test probe to measure the internal resistance of these test probes).

If the measured resistance at both ends of the test probes is less than 50Ω, the multimeter will emit a continuous sound. Press the power button (7).

Measurement range                       Accuracy Resolution

600Ω| ±(0.8%+5)| 0.1Ω
6kΩ|

±(0.8%+3)

| 1Ω
60kΩ| 10Ω
600kΩ| 100Ω
6MΩ| 1kΩ
60MΩ| ±(2.5%+3)| 10kΩ

Capacitance measurement

  1. Fully discharge the capacitor prior to measuring its capacitance. Otherwise, the multimeter will mistakenly enter voltage measurement mode.
  2. Insert the black wire into the COM input (9); insert the red wire into the VΩ input (10).
  3. Press the power button (7) to enter capacitance measurement/diode test mode.
  4. Touch the testing points using the black test probe and the red test probe (11). Ensure the firm contact of the test probes with the testing points.

Then the multimeter will automatically select the required measurement range (10nF / 100nF / 1F / 10μF / 100μF / 1mF / 10mF / 60mF). Then the measurement result will be displayed on the screen. Disconnect the test probes from the tested circuit after the measurement completion.

  • To perform an accurate measurement of low capacitance (up to 10nF), subtract the distributed capacitance of the test probes from the obtained capacitance measurement result value after the measurement.
  • To perform an accurate measurement of high capacitance, wait for a few seconds until the correct readings are displayed on the screen.

Measurement range                                         Accuracy Resolution

10nF|

±(3.5%+20)

| 10pF
100nF| 100pF
1µF| 1nF
10µF| 10nF
100µF| 100nF
1mF| 1µF
10mF| 10µF
60mF| ±(5%+3)| 100µF

Diode test

  1. Insert the black wire into the COM input (9); insert the red wire into the VΩ input (10).
  2. Press the power button (7) to enter the capacitance measurement/diode test mode.
  3. Touch the testing points using the black test probe and the red test probe (11) correspondingly. Ensure the firm contact of the test probes with the testing points.

Then the measurement result will be displayed on the screen. The forward voltage drop in a diode that is under test is measured when the forward direct current is ~1mA and the open circuit voltage is ~3V. If the open circuit voltage is ~0.4V, and if the resistance is less than 50±20Ω, the multimeter will emit a continuous sound. Press the power button (7).

Alternative current and direct current measurement

  1. De-energize the closed loop under test and discharge the capacitors.
  2. Insert the black wire into the COM input (9); insert the red wire into the VΩ input (10) or into 10A input (8).
  3. Touch the testing points using the black test probe and the red test probe (11) correspondingly. Ensure the firm contact of the test probes with the testing points.
  4. Energize the circuit.
  5. If the current is greater than 20mA (AC or DC), the multimeter will compare the AC and DC components of the current and will select a greater value. Then the measurement result will be displayed on the screen.
  6. De-energize the circuit. Disconnect the test probes from the tested circuit after the measurement completion.
  • Apply not more than 10A and not more than for 10 seconds, otherwise, the device may be damaged.
  • Never input more than 36V DC, 25V AC between the COM input (9) and the 10A input (8).
Measurement range Accuracy Resolution
6A ±(2%+30) 0.001A
10A 0.01A

Non-contact voltage detection

  1. Press and HOLD the NCV button (5) to enter electric field (EF) detection mode.
  2. Place the sensor (1) up to a wire, socket, or any surface with hidden wiring. When the sensor of the device detects the electric field, the device will emit a beeping sound. The closer the device is to the object, the louder the signal will be.
