Attachments
- Sapphire callus remover [11]:
- For large-scale and rapid removal of thick hardened skin or calluses on the sole or heel of your foot
- Guide the sapphire callus remover [11] over the parts of the sole and heel to be treated while exerting gentle pressure.
- Cylindrical file [12]:
- For grinding off thick toenail surfaces and rough smoothing of the surfaces
- Always hold the cylinder file [12] parallel to the nail surface and apply light pressure and circular movements to remove the excess growth.
- Flame file [13]:
- For freeing ingrown nails
- Guide the flame file [13] carefully onto the treatment area and cut away the affected nail part.
- Fine and coarse sapphire disc [14] [15]:
- For filing and working the nails
- Work the edge of the nail using the fine and coarse sapphire disc [14] [15]. Since only the inner disc rotates and the outer edge does not move, you can file your nails accurately without damaging your skin with the rapidly rotating disc.
- Always work from the outside of the nail to the tip.
- Felt cone [16]:
- For smoothing and polishing nail edges after filing, and for cleaning the nail surface
- Use the felt cone [16] to polish and smooth the edge of the nail and to clean the nail surface after grinding.
- Always polish in a circular motion and never let the felt cone [16] stay in one place.
- Sapphire cone [17]:
- For removing dry skin, hardened skin, or calluses on the soles and heels
- Guide the sapphire cone [17] over the parts of the sole and heel to be treated using a circular motion while exerting gentle pressure.
- Do not press too firmly, and always guide the sapphire cone [17] carefully to the surface to be treated. Apply a moisturizing cream after every treatment.
Before use
- Only use the product with dry hands.
- Remove all parts from the packaging.
Changing the attachment
- Unplug the main unit [4] each time before you change the attachment.
- Pull the attachment out of the main unit [4], if any.
- Select an attachment (see fig. A and the “Attachments” chapter).
- Push the attachment into the main unit [4]. Make sure the attachment is installed firmly.
NOTE: Change the attachment when it looks or feels worn.
Operation
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY
- Excessively long or intensive treatment can also injure deeper layers of skin.
- Therefore, check the treatment progress and results regularly. Diabetics in particular are less sensitive on their hands and feet.
WARNING! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO SEVERE HEAT DEVELOPMENT!
While you are working, never let the attachments remain in one location.
Friction leads to increased heat generation and may cause injuries. Always
work with a circular motion.
- Find a well-lit place to work. There must be a socket outlet nearby.
- Insert the appropriate attachment for your purpose in the attachment fitting [1]. The attachment must sit securely.
- Connect the DC plug [8] to the DC socket [7].
- Plug the power adaptor [9] into a socket outlet.
- Switch on the product.
- Select the rotating direction:
- NOTE: The indicator light [5] flashes when the highest or lowest setting has been reached. Always start the treatment at the lowest setting and only increase it when necessary.
Speed| Press button
---|---
Increase speed| Press 2 button.
Reduce speed| Press 3 button.
- NOTE: The indicator light [5] flashes when the highest or lowest setting has been reached. Always start the treatment at the lowest setting and only increase it when necessary.
- Switch off the product: Slide the switch [6] to 0 position.
- Disconnect the power adaptor [9] from the socket-outlet when you have finished the treatment.
NOTES:
- Set the speed to the lowest setting after you change the rotating direction or an attachment.
- If you have treated hardened skin, apply a moisturizing cream to the treated areas after completing the procedure.
- The attachments do not have as much effect on softened skin. Therefore, do not carry out any pretreatment in a water bath before using the product.
- Always select the rotating direction for treating the nails in their direction of growth.
- If possible, treat the nails from the outside towards the inside (to the nail tip). Otherwise, the nails will split more easily.
- If you feel that the nails could crack during treatment, select the other direction.
