• Camera Basic Operations
(1) Open the battery cover
Step 1: Rotate the metal hood anticlockwise
Step 2: Remove the metal hood
Step 3: To take battery cover
Step 4: Rotate it anticlockwise
Step 5: Open the cover to the right
(2) Insert a MicroSD card
(3) Check if a battery is plugged in correctly
- Positive +
- Negative –
(4) Check to ensure the battery cover is tightened

- Power/Record button
(same functions)
Notices:
(1) Two buttons have the same functions, and please press any one to use.
(2) Camera will be forced to shut down press two buttons are pressed
simultaneously.
(1) Powering on/off
- To turn on the camera, long press Power/Record button till the red light is on, camera will vibrate twice and power on.
- To turn off the camera, long press Power/Record button till the red light goes off, camera will vibrate twice and power off.
- Power/recording indicator (RED)
(2) Recording
- With a proper microSD card, when the camera is on, short press Power/Record button, camera will vibrate once and then start recording, with a red light blinking slowly.
- When the camera is recording, short press Power/ Record button to, camera will vibrate once and then stop recording, with a solid red light on.
(3) Wi-Fi
- To turn on Wi-Fi, when the camera is on, double press the Power/Record button, Wi-Fi will be turned on, with a blinking blue light on and two-time vibration.
- To turn off Wi-Fi, double press Power/Record button, Wi-Fi will be turned off, with the blue light off and two-time vibration.
(4) Abnormal conditions
- Camera has a fast-blinking red light after powering on, and it doesn’t respond when short pressing the Power/ Record button. Please check the used microSD card or contact RunCam Support for help.
- Camera keeps vibrating after powering on, and it shuts down in 30 seconds. Please reach out to RunCam for further help.
2. Battery
• Recording time
will last about 200 minutes at 1080P@60FPS
• Low battery power mode:
a. When low-power notification is on, camera will a vibration every 30 seconds
(5 times for each) till it shuts down.
b. When low-power notification is off, camera will only vibrate once.
• Charging mode:
Type-C only supports DC 5V. Please use general phone charger or power bank to
charge.
Charging light indicator will be solid green when charging, and it will go off when fully charged. It takes about 150 minutes to get the battery fully charged. (Pic1-1)

3.Micro SD Card
- A U3 card is highly recommended, and capacity is supported up to 512GB. MicroSD card installation diagram (Pic1-2)
Notice: Please be careful to insert or remove the microSD card, protecting it from liquid, dust or chip. To be cautious, please turn off the camera before inserting or removing the microSD card. Please use the SD card referring to the instructions provided by the manufacturer, within the allowing temperature range.

4. PC Connection
- With a microSD card inserted in the camera, connect the camera to computer or laptop via Type-C cable. Long press the Power/Record button to turn on the camera, camera will be recognized as a disk, and data transferring is available.
Camera will vibrate and shut down when Type-C connection is disconnected.
- U-Disk mode:
Under a connection with PC or laptop via a USB-C cable, camera will be on U-Disk mode by default after powering on. A red light will be solid on at this mode. (Pic1-3)

- WEBCAM / PCCAM/ UVC mode:
When camera is on U-Disk mode, short press the Power /Record button to switch to WEBCAM / PCCAM / UVC mode, and a solid red light will be on.
Notice: If camera cannot be recognized by PC/laptop, please check if a microSD card is inserted well. If accessing the content of microSD on PC/laptop is unavailable, please change a USB cable or port to try again.
5. RunCam APP
• Download
Please search “RunCam App” at Google Play/App Store, or scan the QR code to
download and install the App. (https://www.runcam.com/download/scopecamse)
a. When the camera is turned on, double press Power/Record button to turn
on Wi-Fi. A blue light will blink slowly when Wi-Fi is turned on and waits for
a connection.
b. Default camera name:SSID:SCSE_** Password:1234567890
c. Find the camera at the Wi-Fi setting of mobile phone, select and type
the password to connect. The blue light will be solid when the camera is
connected successfully.
d. Go to RunCam App, select ScopeCam SE to connect.
e. Setting will be available when connection succeeds.
6. Firmware Update
- To ensure the best performance of the camera, please keep using the camera on the latest firmware version.
Camera status during firmware update: blue light blinks slowly first and then
fast, and camera will get shut off automatically when the updating is
finished.
