Description

The High Beam Adaptor Harness is designed for MY22+ onwards Ford Ranger, Raptor, and Everest models. It allows for the installation of Night Hawk and ARB driving lights by providing a high-beam signal output. The harness is plug-and-play compatible with Night Hawk and ARB driving light wiring harnesses.

IMPORTANT

• This product must be installed exactly as per these instructions.
• The installation of this product may require the use of specialized tools and/or techniques.
• It is recommended that this product is only installed by trained personnel.

• During installation, the installer must check the correct operation/clearance of all components.
• Ensure all electrical connections are correct and tight with good earth connection to the engine and/or chassis. Failure to do this may result in component failure or fire.
• Make sure all wires are securely fastened away from any hot, sharp or moving surfaces. Do not fasten any wires to the brake lines or fuel lines.
• Make sure that all electrical connections are strong and well-insulated.
• Work safely at all times.

Important Notes Before Fitment
Refer to the harness image below as this will be referenced throughout this instruction. In this document, words in capitals refer to this diagram.

IMPORTANT : Review the vehicle headlight diagrams to identify which headlight level matches the vehicle that this high beam patch harness is being fitted to.

Note 1: This adaptor harness has been designed to accommodate Level 1 & 3 headlights shown above and it is the responsibility of the installer to select the correct configuration and follow to appropriate fitting steps to avoid causing incorrect operation or damage to the vehicle.
Note 2: This adaptor does not suit Level 2 headlights. A High Beam signal wire is already provided in the Level 2 vehicle harness behind the left-hand side door sill panel.
Note 3: This adaptor harness is designed to provide a high beam signal output through the white “QUICK CONNECTOR” plug which is plug-and-play compatible with Night Hawk and ARB driving light wiring harnesses only. Follow the instructions provided with the driving light harness to install it into the vehicle before fitting this adaptor harness.

Fitting Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the vehicle’s start battery.

2. On the vehicle’s left-hand headlight, disconnect the headlight connector from the back of the headlight.
   Note: Access to this connector is achieved through the removable plastic window in the left-hand wheel arch liner. Remove the 3 plastic fasteners that secure the window and reach through to disconnect the connector.
   If access is too tight, the wheel arch liner can also be partially removed to gain more access.

3. Connect the “HEADLIGHT CONNECTOR” end of the adaptor harness into the back of the headlight, then connect the “HARNESS CONNECTOR” end to the vehicle harness connector previously removed from the headlight.
   Route the remaining wires of the harness up into the engine bay, alongside the battery, then secure with cable ties.
   Ensure the harness is not contacting any metal or sharp edges, then reinstall the wheel arch liner /access panel.

4. Review the following page for specific instructions on how to configure the adaptor harness for the headlight level of the vehicle. After following the correct instructions, connect the white “QUICK CONNECTOR” plug of the adaptor harness to the white plug of the Night Hawk or ARB driving light harness.
   Reconnect the negative battery terminal to the battery, then test the functionality of the lights.

Wiring Configurations Level 1 & 3

For LEVEL 1 Headlights:
For the High Beam signal, locate the wire labeled “HIGH BEAM LEVEL 1” on the adaptor harness, remove the insulating tape, and then insert the terminal into the empty opening on the white “QUICK CONNECTOR” plug.

For LEVEL 3 Headlights:
For the High Beam signal, locate the wire labeled “HIGH BEAM LEVEL 3” on the adaptor harness, remove the insulation tape, and then insert the terminal into the empty opening on the white “QUICK CONNECTOR” plug.
