Product Usage Instructions

  1. Step 1
    Disconnect the positive and negative cables from your battery. Remove the two nuts from the threaded rod holding the battery clamp. If installed, remove the bracket connected to the front radiator support. Remove your battery from the factory mount.

  2. Step 2
    Carefully remove the three nuts at the bottom of the factory battery tray. Retain the factory hardware for installation of the new mount.

  3. Step 3
    Remove the temperature sensor (if equipped) from the factory tray and disconnect it from the Jeep. Remove the factory tray from the Jeep.

  4. Step 4
    Bolt the bottom mount to the bottom side of the battery box using the provided #10 Flat Socket Cap screws and nylock nuts. Use anti-seize on the stainless steel hardware.

  5. Step 5
    Install the temperature sensor into the new battery mount and plug it back into the wiring harness.

  6. Step 6
    Install the new battery mount into the factory location using the factory hardware. Fully tighten the new mount.

  7. Step 7:
    Place your battery into the new mount and place the new battery top onto the battery. Secure the battery in place using 1/4-20 carriage bolts. Connect the positive and negative cables back to your battery.

Installation Notes

  • The battery box is shipped raw steel, it will need to be painted or powder coated before installation.
  • This battery box uses the factory hardware that holds the factory mount in place, if the nuts or studs are corroded or broken, they may need to be replaced.

  • 7/16” Wrench or Socket
  • 10mm Wrench or Socket
  • 13mm Socket or Wrench
  • 15mm Socket with Extension
  • 3/8” Wrench or Socket
  • 1/8” Hex Drive

Step 1:
Disconnect the positive and negative cables from your battery. Remove the two nuts from the threaded rod holding the battery clamp. If installed, remove the bracket connected to the front
radiator support. Remove your battery from the factory mount.

Step 2:
Carefully remove the three nuts at the bottom of the factory battery tray. These studs and nuts can be corroded and easily break. Retain the factory hardware, it will be used to install the new mount.

Step 3:
With the factory tray hardware removed, remove the temperature sensor (if equipped) from the factory tray and disconnect it from the Jeep. Remove the factory tray from the Jeep.

Step 4:
Using the provided #10 Flat Socket Cap screws and nylock nuts, bolt the bottom mount to the bottom side of the battery box. We recommend using anti-seize on the stainless steel hardware.

Step 5:
With the plug end going in first, install the temperature sensor into the new battery mount and plug it back into the wiring harness.

Step 6:
Using the factory hardware, install the new battery mount into the factory location. The new mount can be fully tightened at this time.

Step 7:
Place your battery into the new mount and place the new battery top onto the battery. Use the provided 1/4”-20 carriage bolts to secure the battery in place. Run the carriage bolts in from the bottom side of the battery box. Tighten the nuts until the battery is secure. Connect the positive and negative cables back to your battery.
