Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Intended use
The product is used for cutting suitable food, for example bread, cheese or sausages. Any use of the product not specified above is prohibited and can result in injuries and/or damage.
The product is designed for household use. The product is not suitable for commercial use.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.
Scope of delivery
After unpacking the product, check if the delivery is complete and if all parts are in good condition. Remove all packing materials before use.

Technical data
NOTE: The continuous operation time of this product is 5 minutes. The continuous operation time indicates how long you may use the product before overheating and damaging the motor. After the continuous operation time, the product must remain switched off until the motor has completely cooled.

BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT, PLEASE FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH ALL OF THE SAFETY INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE! WHEN PASSING THIS PRODUCT ON TO OTHERS, PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE ALL THE DOCUMENTS!
In the case of damage resulting from non-compliance with this user manual the warranty claim becomes invalid! No liability is accepted for consequential damage! In the case of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions, no liability is accepted!
Children and persons with disabilities

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging
material represents a danger of suffocation.
Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from
the packaging material.
- This product must not be used by children.
- Keep the product and its power cord away from children.
- This product may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience and/ or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks.
- Never allow children to play with this product.
Electrical safety
- Always hold the power cord by the power plug, do not pull by the power cord itself.
- Do not place furniture or other heavy objects on the power cord and be sure not to bend it, especially at the power plug.
- To avoid damaging the product, do not lay the power cord over hot or sharp places or edges.
- Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables which do not meet the applicable safety standards and do not manipulate the power cord!
- If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid hazards.
- Never make a knot in the power cord and do not tie it together with other cables.
- The power cord should be positioned so nobody can step on or be hindered by it. There is a risk of injury.
- Repairs are required if the product is damaged, liquids or objects have entered the housing, it has been exposed to rain or moisture, or if it is not working properly or has been dropped.
- In the event of smoke, unusual noises or odours, immediately remove the power cord of the product from the power outlet. In these cases, discontinue use of the product and have it inspected by an expert.
- Only allow the manufacturer, service agent or a similarly qualified person to carry out any repairs.
- Never open the housing of the product.
- In the event of a power outage, the product will remain switched on and resume operating after the outage. Always disconnect the product from the power outlet in case of a power outage.
- Stop using the product if the appliance or the accessories (slicing plate, slicing carriage and waste holder) are damaged.
WARNING! Ensure that:
- no direct sources of heat (e.g. heaters) are affecting the product;
- no direct sunlight or strong artificial light is hitting the product;
- contact with spraying or dripping water and aggressive liquids is avoided;
- the product is not operated near water, the product must most importantly not be submerged in liquid. Do not place objects filled with liquids, e.g. vases or beverages on or next to the product;
- no open fire sources (e.g. burning candles) are on or next to the product;
- no foreign objects have entered the product;
- the product is not exposed to excessive shock or vibration.
- the product is not exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, as otherwise condensation can build up and lead to electrical shortcircuiting. If the product is exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, wait (approx. 2 hours) before starting it up, until it has reached room temperature.
Operation
CAUTION! Risk of injury!

* Only use the accessory components included to operate the product.
- Keep long hair, ties and items of loose clothing away from the area around the rotating blade, where they may get caught.
- Never reach towards the rotating blade with your hands.
- Switch off the product and disconnect it from supply before removing the blade [4] or approaching the moving blade [4].
- Always disconnect the product from the power outlet when leaving it unattended, before assembly, before disassembly and before cleaning.
- The product is only suitable for cutting firm foods such as bread, sausages or sliceable cheese. Cutting other substances (e.g. wood) or very hard foods (e.g. bones, hard cheese, deep-frozen food) is not permissible.
- The blade is very sharp. Never put your hands near the blade. After switching off the product, the mechanism will continue to move for a short time. Wait for the blade to stop! After cutting, set the cutting width to the 0 position.
- Misuse of the product can result in injuries such as cut wound on the finger or other serious injuries.
CAUTION! Risk of injury!
Never guide small pieces of foods towards the circular blade [4] with your bare hands! Always use the waste holder [12] provided. Injuries may otherwise occur.

This product must be used with the slicing carriage [10] and waste holder [12] in position unless the size and shape of the food being cut does not allow for their use.

Never operate the product without the circular blade.

Never try to cut the following items:
- Packaged or frozen food
- Ice cubes
- Food with bones
- Nuts with shells
This could damage the product.

Always remove the power plug from the power outlet after use or when the product is unattended.

Place the product on a firm, level surface and do not place any objects on the product.
-
The product is not designed for use in very hot, humid, or dusty rooms. Refer to the operating temperature and operating humidity.
Cleaning
- Always remove the power plug from the power outlet before cleaning the product.
- Never submerge the product in water or hold it under running water to clean it.
- Always disconnect the product from the power outlet before removing the blade.
First use
DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not use the product next to a sink full of water!

Remove the packaging.
-
Clean the product and its accessories (see “Cleaning and care”).
-
Place the product on a level, clean surface. The product has feet with suction cups [9] and anti-slip feet [16] to secure the stand.

Fold down the table [8].
-
Unwind the power cord [15]. Guide the power cord [15] through the power cord guide [7].
-
Insert the slicing plate [11] into the slicing carriage [10] firmly (Fig. C).
-
Place the slicing carriage [10] vertically onto the table [8] so that the slicing carriage hooks onto the edge of the table.
-
Place the slicing carriage [10] into the guide grooves of the product from above.
-
Place the waste holder [12] on the slicing plate [11]. The rectangle with the pins is facing the circular blade [4].
Operation
CAUTION! Risk of injury!
The circular blade [4] is very sharp. Never put your hands near the circular blade [4]. After switching off the product, the circular blade [4] continues to move for a short time.
- When carrying the food slicer, never hold it in the middle for avoiding touching the blade. Always hold both sides for preventing getting injured.
Setting the cutting width
NOTE: The maximum cutting width that can be selected on the scale [2] is approx. 17 mm.

Increasing or decreasing the cutting width – Rotate the turning handle [1]:
-
Check the cutting width on the scale [2].
-
After cutting: Set the cutting width to the 0 position.
Switching on/off
- Connect the power plug [15] to a power outlet.
- Press and hold [6].
- Press and hold [5] until the circular blade [4] starts up.
- Hold [5] during the cutting process.
- Release [5] to stop the circular blade [4].
Cutting
NOTES:
Always press [6] before pressing [5] for preventing damaging the switch system.
Always use the slicing carriage [10] and the waste holder [12] when cutting.
Clean the product and the circular blade [4] straight after cutting fatty foods (e.g. meat, sausages, cheese) (see “Cleaning and care“).
- Place the food to be cut on the slicing carriage [10].
- Press the food with the waste holder [12] lightly against the positioning plate [13].
- Guide the food through the cutting process by lightly pushing the slicing carriage [10] against the rotating circular blade [4].
- After cutting: Pull the slicing carriage [10] backwards. Repeat the process until the desired number of slices has been cut.
Troubleshooting
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Before cleaning or maintaining the product: Disconnect the power plug [15] from the power outlet.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
CAUTION! Risk of injury!
The circular blade [4] is very sharp. Never hold the circular blade [4] by the
cutting surface but instead by the blade lock [3].
CAUTION! Risk of injury!
The circular blade [4] can fall out of the product if it is not properly
installed. Lock the mechanism into place correctly during assembly (blade lock
[3] must be horizontal!).
Cleaning (after each use)
NOTE: Do not use any abrasive, aggressive cleaners to clean the product.
Cleaning the circular blade
NOTES:
****Clean the circular blade [4] after every use with warm soapy water.
****The circular blade [4] is not suitable for dishwasher.

Fold the slicing carriage [10] up and pull it to the right and out of the joint.
-
Turn the blade lock [3] clockwise and align the blade lock [3] vertically. Remove the circular blade [4] (Fig. G).

After cleaning: Allow the circular blade [4] to dry.
Cleaning the accessories
-
Wipe the accessories with a slightly damp cloth.
-
Use a little mild soapy water if needed.
-
Wipe the slicing carriage [10], the slicing plate [11], the waste holder [12] with a slightly damp cloth or alternatively wash them in the dishwasher.
-
Allow all parts to dry.
-
After cleaning: Reattach the circular blade [4]. Rotate the blade lock [3] in a anticlockwise direction to reattach the circular blade [4] (Fig. H).
Full cleaning
CAUTION! Risk of injury! The circular blade [4] is very sharp. Do not move the positioning plate [13] near to the circular blade [4] during assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
NOTE: The product should be fully cleaned in regular intervals.
- Clean the product and its accessories (see “Cleaning (after each use)“).
- Turn the turning handle [1] in an anticlockwise direction past the 0 position.
- Remove the positioning plate [13] according to the instructions in the addendum sheet.
- Wipe the positioning plate [13] with a slightly damp cloth.
- After cleaning: Allow the positioning plate [13] to dry.
- Turn the turning handle [1] past the 0 position.
- Reattach the positioning plate [13] by pressing it in the middle. Turn the turning handle [1] back to the 0 position.
- To check that it is positioned correctly, adjust the cutting width (see “Setting the cutting width“).
- If this does not work, remove the positioning plate [13] again and repeat the process.
Storage
- Before storage: Set the cutting width to the 0 position.
- Wrap the power cord [15] around the power cord winder [14] (Fig. D). Attach the power plug [15] to the power cord winder [14].
- Only store the product when it is folded together (Fig. B).
- Hold the product at the sides when carrying the product. Do not hold the product at the cavity. Do not touch the circular blade [4] when carrying the product.
- Store the product out of reach of children. There is a risk of injury from the sharp circular blade [4].
- Store the product in the original packaging when it is not in use.
- Store the product at a dry location.
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.
Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.
Product:
The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility.
Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.
The Triman logo is valid in France only.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your wornout product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your claim, observe the following instructions:
Make sure to have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 444538_2307) available as proof of purchase.
You can find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the instruction manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below either by telephone or by e-mail.
Once the product has been recorded as defective you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
