Before you start
Activating the batteries
- Remove the strip from the battery compartment (6) on the bottom of the bathroom scales. The bathroom scales are now ready to use.
Getting started
Switching on the bathroom scales / measuring weight
The bathroom scales must be calibrated before first use or after having been moved to ensure that they can determine one’s weight exactly. To do so, step briefly on to the tread (2), step off it again and wait until the bathroom scales switch off automatically. The bathroom scales are now calibrated.
Due to the Step-On-Power function, the bathroom scales are switched on automatically when you step on the tread (2) and they start to measure your weight immediately.
A solid surface is required to measure weight correctly. Thus always place the
bathroom scales on a solid, horizontal floor covering and never on carpet.
This can distort the measurement result.
To obtain comparable measurement results, you should always weigh yourself if
possible at the same time of day (preferably in the morning). Always weigh
yourself if possible under the same conditions: on an empty stomach, after
having gone to the toilet and naked.
The weight unit is set to “kg”. To change the language, press the language selection button (5) while the device is switched on. If you select the “English” language, the weight is shown in “lb”. The selected language is then indicated on the LCD display (1). The bathroom scales support the following languages:
Display items | Language |
---|---|
EN | English |
DK | Danish |
NL | Dutch |
FR | French |
DE | German |
- Set the voice output volume you want on the volume control (4). Rotate the volume control (4) to the “-” direction until it locks in place to disable the voice output.
- Stand on the tread (2) of the bathroom scales so that your weight is evenly distributed. Remain as still as possible during the weighing process as the measurement result may be distorted otherwise.
- The measurement result is indicated on the LCD display (1) during the weighing process. The measurement is complete when the display flashes. Additionally, the weight measured is output by voice.
- To perform a new measurement, step off the tread (2) of the bathroom scales and then step on it again.
Auto power off
- The bathroom scales have an automatic switch-off function (Auto Power Off function). After displaying the measurement result, the bathroom scales switch off automatically.
Replacing the batteries
- Replace the batteries when they are empty. To insert new batteries, remove the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the bathroom scales by inserting a finger into the recess on the side of the battery compartment (6). Then lift the battery compartment (6) cover upwards and remove it.
- When this happens, replace the batteries with new batteries of the same type.
- Always pay attention to the polarity (note the + and – marks). The correct polarity is labelled on the batteries and inside the battery compartment (6). Then replace the battery compartment (6) cover back to its original position until it clicks into place.
Troubleshooting
Nothing is indicated on the LCD display
- The batteries are empty. Replace the batteries with new batteries of the same type. Please note the instructions in the “Replacing the batteries” section.
- The batteries aren’t inserted properly. Please note the instructions in the “Replacing the batteries” section.
“Lo” is indicated on the LCD display and the bathroom scales switch off
- The batteries are almost empty. Replace the batteries with new batteries of the same type.
- Please note the instructions in the “Replacing the batteries” section.
The bathroom scales switch off while measuring the weight
- An error has occurred and the bathroom scales cannot perform the measurement. If this happens, step off the tread (2) on the bathroom scales and step on it again. This restarts the weight measurement.
“0-Ld” is indicated on the LCD display
- The weight exceeds the maximum weight of 180 kg or 396 lb. Step off the tread (2) of the bathroom scales immediately to avoid damaging them.
