Product Usage Instructions
- Installing the Power Supply
- Before any installation or maintenance work, disconnect and lock off the main supply for at least 5 minutes.
- Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent overheating.
- The mounting orientation can be in any direction.
- Use an adequate connector set for installation.
- Do not make any changes to the power supply unit.
- Install the device in a suitable enclosure.
- Contact RECOM Techsupport if you encounter any problems during installation.
- Putting the Power Supply into Operation
- Important! Before applying power, verify that the rated output current and voltage of the power supply match the requirements of the application.
- Derating: Operate the power supply only within the specified conditions and ambient temperatures listed in the Specifications.
- Pollution Degree 2 (PD2): Follow the specified pollution degree guidelines for safe operation.
- Faults and Troubleshooting
- Depending on the protection mechanism, the device will automatically restart after the fault condition is resolved.
- Dismantling and Disposing of the Power Supply
- Disconnect and uninstall the power supply properly. Dispose of packaging material and electrical components through authorized collection or disposal points in compliance with the EG WEEE Directive.

Intended use
- The unit is suitable for supply voltages in the range of 80-264VAC and 120-370VDC.
- Do not use in wet locations or in areas where moisture or condensation can be expected.
- All units have input fuses for device protection (not externally accessible).
- The unit is output short circuit, over-voltage, and load protected.

Important! Before applying power, ensure that the rated output current and voltage of the power supply meet the requirements of the application.

Safe operation
Safe operation of the Power Supply
Operate the power supply only according to the conditions and the ambient temperatures listed in the Specifications.
The power supply should
- not be operated if defective
- not be operated under full load without sufficient cooling
- be installed in a controlled environment compliant with pollution degree 2 (PD2)
Faults and Troubleshooting
Depending on the degree of protection (a mechanism), the device restarts automatically after the fault condition is removed.

- the power supply is used for purposes not listed in the Intended use section
- the power supply is operated outside of the specification
- the power supply is modified in any way
- the power supply is improperly installed
- the power supply is operated in a defective condition
- the power supply is exposed to corrosive chemicals or gases
- the documentation is not kept up to date
